O'Malley adds White to State House staff
Gov.-elect Martin O'Malley (D) made public his latest staff pick yesterday, announcing to a gathering of Maryland county officials that Josh White would serve as his director of intergovernmental affairs.
White served as O'Malley's campaign manager during his recent win over Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. (R) and is a former executive director of the Maryland Democratic Party. He has been serving in a key staff role in O'Malley's transition in recent weeks.
O'Malley, who takes office Jan. 17, made the announcement last night at a gathering in Cambridge of the Maryland Association of Counties. It comes amid grumbling among some Democrats about the pace of the transition process.
Those include Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. (D-Calvert), who ribbed O'Malley at a gathering of the Maryland Economic Development Association yesterday morning in Annapolis.
Asked about Miller's comments by reporters, O'Malley said the long-serving Senate president was "probably" testing him. O'Malley added that he would like for the transition process to move more quickly but said he is more determined to make the right personnel choices.

Hmmm... guy with class working for the Governor of Maryland. That might the first time in the last 4 years.
Maybe it says something about the guy that picked him? Staffs are usually a reflection of the person that picks them.

No mention of White's still undetermined role with MD4Bush that involved likely ethics and privacy violations.

So the massive, happy O'Malley supporters are ok with concealing the criminal actions regarding White and MD4BUSH. We get it.
Get ready for 4 corrupt, tax-and-spend-into-deficit years.

Actually, O'Malley won by the slimmest margin of any Governor in the whole United States, even in a heavily Dem. state in a very anti-Republican year. Doesn't say a whole lot about him. Not strong.

Actually, Ehrlich was the only incumbent Governor in the whole United States to lose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're a real genius, Patrick.

I guess Ehrlich isn't. He couldn't pull off a win despite his perpetual dirty tricks. LOL!
Hey, where has Joe Steffen landed?

Patrick, according to Phyllis Jordan, Steffan was the source of a political character assasination. The O'Malley administration lives in a glass house when it comes to dirty politics.

I never understood why Josh was involved there. He is one of the only people anywhere around O'Malley who has any class. Mark my words, he will leave in disgust within a year and regret that he had anything to do with electing that sleazeball.
