Md. Pols Hit National Campaign Trail

Gov. Martin O'Malley (D) is scheduled this weekend to join a small parade of Maryland politicians stumping in early nominating states for their preferred presidential candidates.
Aides said O'Malley plans to canvass Saturday in Portsmouth, N.H., with other supporters of Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), as well as attend meetings with undecided young professional voters, a labor rally in Manchester and a debate watching party.
The governor will be joined in New Hampshire by Sen. Barbara Mikulski (D-Md.), a national co-chair of Clinton's campaign, an aide said.
Lt. Gov. Anthony G. Brown (D) is among those campaigning for Clinton today in Iowa on caucus day, according to aides.
Attorney General Douglas F. Gansler (D) is also in Iowa today, stumping for Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).
"I have been making phone calls, knocking on doors, attending Obama rallies, talking to the press and setting up chairs and taping up signs at the Windsor Elementary School Library in West Des Moines in preparation for tonight's caucus there," Gansler said in an email forwarded by an aide.

A primary reason for the special session tax increase party was that these guys wanted to be out campaigning around the country through February 5. Now,there won't be much going on in Annapolis in the regular session until then and these guys won't be here. Lack of proper public hearings and a grab-bag atmosphere during the special session was a small price to pay when one can get the National media from New Hampshire to Florida and California.

O'Malley's political career is going down in flames along with Hillary's. I love it. It's poetic justice that we this great country of a national diease with the likes of Hillary and O'Malley. O'Malley backed the wrong candidate. Obama is the future not O'Malley. See ya, Martin, maybe you can get a job delivering pizzas after the voters of MD exact retribution on you for imposing the largest tax increase in MD history. God, life is great now.
