A Conversation With Mr. and Mrs. Kucinich

Wednesday night at Johns Hopkins University's Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in D.C., three Democratic presidential candidates -- Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio), former Sen. Mike Gravel (D-Alaska) and Sen. Joseph R. Biden Jr. (Del.) engaged in a "debate" on the war in Iraq.

Off-stage, with his wife Elizabeth by his side, Kucinich came alive as he shared some of his background. The anti-war candidate, turned vegan, turned husband offered stories from his days living in a car to what it's like to avoid meat on the campaign trail.

Why did they send the Paris Hilton fluff crew to cover the only presidential candidate who was against invading Iraq in the first place?

Oh, that's why. We can't have a president who is not a member of the Military, Industrial, Bipartisan Congressional, K Street Complex.

No wonder they demonize his idea for a Department of Peace, even though it makes better sense than anything done by Dubya/dick over the past six years.

Dennis and Elizabeth Kucinich are the new Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt.

Dennis is the only candidate who supports mainstream America in its quest to end war, create peace, bring jobs home, guarantee health care to all Americans, restore our civil liberties and guarantee a living wage to all Americans. The other candidates are expecing the public to be fooled by false statements that they are anti-war. Obama has voted 24 times for war and is financed by war profiteers. Edwards, knowing that Iraq had no WMDs (according to Dick Durbin), wrote the war resolution and sold it to Congress and to the Ameican people. Dodd, Clinton, Biden and Richardson all supported the war. The only one of the other candidates who is honest is Clinton in that she is not pretending to be anti-war. All the candidates strongly backed USA-PATRIOT. Even Obama voted five times for its renewal. The Black Agenda Report has compared Obama to someone who would throw blacks under the bus and his voting record proves them right. Unlike the other candidates, Kucinich is true to his word. Kuicnich's voting record reflects what he says and it reflects the will of the people.

Elizabeth is a humanitarian with a compassion and history of service to the needy that America has not seen in a First Lady since Eleanor Roosevelt. America deserves another Eleanor Roosevelt. America deserves Dennis and Elizabeth.
