Ovechkin to Introduce Signature Clothing Line

Seriously. Dan Steinberg, the sports section fashion guru, has the details here.

I like that.

Forget the clothing line, OV should come out with a line of hair products...

WTH

This makes total sense after seeing the outfit Alex was donning last night on NBC. And Ovie can pull off pink too (winness his suit/shirt/tie the other day when he collected his first two awards). What would people think if Crosby wore pink?

Posted by: TJ2 | May 29, 2008 5:05 PM

Don't get me wrong - I love Ovie and all, but that's despite his fashion sense (or lack thereof). Tarik, I am waiting for the punchline ...

I love my Ovie and I do look forward to seeing what he comes out with...however I must admit if you were to scratch out Ovechkins name every time its mentioned in the article and replace it with Crosby...I probly would be givin crosby a lot of crap.

Guess 100+ Million is not enough, or maybe his passion lies in fabric not money.
In any event, I wish him luck, maybe Avery can be a part of it, since he's so En Vogue

Please tell me that an internship at "Vogue" isn't next a la Sean Avery.

Is that Trust Fund Babies t-shirt he's wearing in the article part of the line?

If so I'd say Ovie is not the one sketching the designs here.

I'd totally go see the models I mean Ovie but I will be in Florida that week.

From the other post: Interesting indeed that NBA got out done by the NHL. Yet, somehow, the Post didn't bother to do anything more than print wire feed. Yawn.

Where's Semin's clothing line? There's a dude who really knows how to pull off capri pants. : )

And why in the world didn't OV name the line "Russian Machine"? Durable clothing for durable people.

Here's wishing the Spring '09 line includes polo shirts with little gap tooth smiling Ovie on the lapel.

More Ovie endorsements?

My condolences to the Bourdon family. Such a tragedy affects everyone and my heart goes out to them.

Here's what she said (http://tinyurl.com/69bqfy):

"Hi, i'm from Shippagan and i've known Luc since i was in kintergarden. Luc was just passing his girlfriend and it was really windy and his coat got stock or something and he lost control of his bike and got hitted by a tractor-trailer. His girlfriend has seen everything. We are all with the family and with Charlyne, his girlfriend.
xxxxx R.I.P Bourdon"

I'm bored

RIT:
Ah, I wouldn't count on that changing until pre-season (or at least until training camp). Hang in there, my friend - this, too, we can survive.

Based on Ovie's color and fashion tastes, I pictured his fashion line would be something along the line of Don Cherry goes grunge

Posted by: TheCapitalist | May 30, 2008 8:37 AM

Boo,

I'm not leaning more toward Ellis than Huet, just throwing his name into the mix as well. As long as we start the season with a true #1 goalie I'll be happy.

Oh brother, say it ain't so Alex :(

I bet the clothing will look like Rodney Dangerfield's "regular guy look" from the movie Easy Money

Posted by: red dragon | May 30, 2008 9:46 AM

If Ovie's planning on pushing the gold chain, white v-neck t-shirt and suit jacket look, he's certainly got that one nailed down.

"What would people think if Crosby wore pink?"

They think it already.
