CommuteCast: Mostly Cloudy, Isolated Showers
Unsettled Wednesday with some thunder possible
As Jason mentioned in his Monday post, the warm front slated to have already moved through the area has had some difficulty lifting north and is presently lingering in the region. Because of this, high temperatures today did not reach their full potential in many towns and much of the area remained locked in clouds throughout the day. Highs have still managed to get into the upper 50s to low 60s while temperatures close to and over 70 degrees made inroads just to the south of the area. The ride home will feature some isolated showers, but most area roads will remain dry.
Tonight: Rising dew points and southerly winds will keep temperatures well above average tonight with most locations only falling to the low or mid 50s for lows. Expect clouds to continue with some showers possible if not widespread. As was the case last night, patchy dense fog and drizzle is likely in spots after midnight through early morning.
Tomorrow: Another warm day is on tap for Wednesday, and it will likely be a little warmer than today in most places with highs generally expected to be in the upper 60s. Though it did not happen today, if skies can clear more than expected tomorrow, temperatures may rise above 70 degrees across the region. Skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day while a chance of morning showers gives way to an increasing risk of rain by mid-day and even some thunder during the afternoon as another cold front arrives.

There's also a swing dance at the Clarendon Ballroom 9-11 PM. Mild weather, possible shower or sprinkle.

One warning...if going to this dance, please don't park in the Wachovia Bank parking lot across the street--they tow!!! (I plan to take Metro.)

Huh. I thought that that Wachovia closed down a while back.

Nope. Nevermind. They're there. =]

Super Tuesday will call for a late night, but at least it will be warm weatherwise. Very fitting for some of the hotly contested races.
What a temperature roller coaster!! From 20 degrees above normal today to perhaps 10 degrees below normal by Sunday!
