CommuteCast: Clear Skies, Calming Winds
Another unsettled period starts Thursday
Cooler temperatures -- in the low and mid 50s -- today have been accompanied by plentiful sunshine across the area. Gusty winds are beginning to calm this afternoon and should continue to do so. The drive home will be dry with mostly clear skies.
Tonight: Mostly clear skies will continue through much of the night before clouds begin to increase prior to sunrise. Low temperatures will be quite cold for early April, as many locations outside the District will fall close to or just below freezing, with some upper 20s west and north of the city. In D.C., expect lows to hit the mid 30s.
Tomorrow: Increasingly cloudy skies will bring rising precipitation chances by late afternoon as a warm front approaches the area, with rain likely in the evening and overnight. High temperatures will be held down by clouds, so expect readings to only top out in the low 50s.
