CommuteCast: Delightful Conditions Return
Mostly sunny and warmer Thursday
Late April sunshine has gone to work to quickly warm the area into the low and mid 70s, after some morning low cloudiness and fog. Temperatures will stay near 70 through the commute, before slowly dropping through the 60s after sunset.
Tonight: Temperatures will be above seasonal averages overnight as dew points in the 50s keep readings from falling very far. Expect low temperatures to hit the mid 50s in the suburbs and the upper 50s in the District. Skies will be partly cloudy early trending to mostly clear by sunrise.
Tomorrow: The warming trend will continue on Thursday as the region basks in sunshine. Highs are expected to reach the upper 70s across the region, and a few 80-degree readings are possible, especially south of D.C.

Yes, pollen is an issue here, too. Rain seems to dampen it down, then it starts up again soon as the sun comes back out this time of year. Red oaks and pin oaks are really going now. That's generally the worst of the tree pollen season.

I'd make a witty comment about the pollen, if only I could breathe well enough to get some oxygen to my brain....which is clearly swollen along with my sinuses.

My allergist mentioned oaks as being the end of the misery. I guess maybe he never met a plane (sycamore) tree? I'm looking at one near the house, and it's hardly begun. On the plus side, I scored a 3-pack of Puffs-plus-Lotion on sale at the supermarket today.

CAPITAL WEATHER GANG! I am VERY disappointed in you guys for not predicting this BLIZZARD outside my window right now.
It's freaking SNOWING pollen and those fuzzy dandelion seeds. My allergies are at full blast right now, throbbing headache and all.
Ahh spring, so beautiful, so wonderful. I want to wring it's neck until it spits out 15 degrees and 2 feet of snow. =P
But I'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt. It IS the end of April (wow!) after all, so a blizzard of little yellow wrecking balls with spikes on them
isn't all that uncommon. CWG wins this time... ;P
By the way...this is what pollen looks like under a microscope

If you're not bothered by those little wrecking balls of doom, I want your secrets.
