CommuteCast: Cool Air Giving Way
Warmer Friday, slight risk of storms late
Thick clouds and mid-day showers have given way to increased sunshine across the area. High temperatures were held slightly in check today thanks to the rain, though they are now rising through the 60s and should keep doing so for the next hour or two. Expect partly cloudy conditions to last through the evening as we remain in close proximity to a warm front lifting north.
Tonight: Partly cloudy conditions will continue as winds from the south keep us warmer than recent nights. Expect low temperatures to reach the mid to upper 50s.
Tomorrow: We continue with winds from the south on Friday as more sunshine breaks through compared to today. Highs will reach the upper 70s to low 80s across the region. There is a slight risk of afternoon or evening thunderstorms as the front continues to meander to our north, but this risk is somewhat minimal (20%) at this time, and most activity is likely to stay north of the area.

Crazy weather in the Plains...
There's both a Blizzard Warning and a Tornado Watch issued in South Dakota.
The high was 81 two days ago in Rapid City, and at 5pm today it was 35 and snowing, with a wind chill of 21. They're expecting around a foot of snow in the area.
