CommuteCast: Mostly Cloudy, Isolated Showers
Sunshine gets weekend off to nice start on Saturday
Morning showers temporarily gave way to a few breaks of midday sunshine across the region (mostly from D.C. south and east), but clouds have returned in most places. There has been a fairly large spread in afternoon high temperatures, with low 70s common in the same places that saw a little sun, and low to mid 60s for areas west and north of the city. Temperatures are now falling back on a gusty northwest wind, and a few showers or thundershowers are possible for the rest of the afternoon, with the highest concentration in the south and east portions of the area.
Tonight: After a mostly cloudy start, skies will clear overnight as temperatures drop a little cooler than average for this time of year. Expect lows to fall into the upper 40s in the suburbs while settling into the low 50s inside the Beltway. Northwest winds will continue around 10-15 mph.
Tomorrow: For Saturday, we'll see what we have not seen enough of recently -- a nice weekend day. Mostly sunny skies early will give way to an increase in cloudiness during the afternoon, but not before temperatures rise into the mid 70s across the area. Any precipitation chances should hold off till after sunset, and even then, just a chance of a passing shower or two.

Get ready for another flood! Sterling is hinting at the possibility that a large broad low pressure system could impact our Memorial Day weekend a week hence.

El Bombo !!
If you wish to miss the coming flood over Memorial Day weekend, head west into the Shenandoah Valley!
Since we are speculating at 200 hrs., the GFS says only .50-.75 rain over M. Day weekend. Bring it on!
Its chilly upstairs this afternoon, currently 42F at Pointy Knob!

If your prediction comes true Bombo what in the world are you going to do? Will the dance be affected? Will your errands go off as scheduled? Umbrella sales?

I previously posted this in the wrong area, but between what just came through and last night's rain, we have received 1.6" in the last 24 hours. My house should float away soon.....
