Forecast: Sunny Stretch Slips Away
Mostly sunny today; then increasing clouds, rain chances
The next two days are prime examples of the difference dewpoint -- a measure of how much moisture is in the air -- can make this time of year. Today's highs in the low 80s will feel quite comfortable thanks to dewpoints near 50, while tomorrow's highs in the upper 70s will feel kinda muggy with dewpoints rising to near 60. With the increase in moisture comes increasing clouds and chances for showers and storms tomorrow and Friday.
Mostly sunny. Low 80s. It's hard to beat mostly sunny skies, fairly low humidity and highs in the low 80s. If that's a little warm for you, a nice afternoon breeze (10-15 mph) from the south should help.
Tonight, partly to mostly cloudy with a chance of a passing shower after midnight as a cold front passes by to our north. It'll be mild, with lows in the low to mid 60s, and breezy with 10-15 mph winds from the south.

TOMORROW
Mostly cloudy. More humid. Some showers and storms. Upper 70s. Conditions look to be mostly cloudy and more humid as low pressure approaches from the southwest. It shouldn't be a washout, but occasional showers, and maybe some isolated afternoon/evening thunderstorms, are certainly possible as highs reach the upper 70s. Winds from the southwest at 10-15 mph.
Overnight, mostly cloudy with a continued chance of showers and some thunderstorms, and possibly a steady area of rain moving in toward morning. Lows in the low to mid 60s.

A LOOK AHEAD
Friday morning is looking rainy with numerous showers and some thunderstorms. And while not certain, shower and storm activity may very well continue into at least part of the afternoon. Highs in the upper 60s to near 70. The rain should be on its way out of the area by late afternoon or evening. Confidence: Medium
High pressure should pay a short visit on Saturday, bringing mostly sunny skies and highs in the 70s. Confidence: Medium-High
Another storm system approaches for Sunday. If we're lucky, we'll squeeze out a sunny start to the day, followed by increasing clouds and rain chances as the day goes on. Highs will depend on the timing of increased cloud cover and rain, but as of now I'd say upper 60s to low 70s. Confidence: Low-Medium

Models differ somewhat as to instability, but everyone seems to agree that there could be enough afternoon CAPE to allow for "diurnal" thunderstorms. GFS seems to be going more unstable at this time.
Looking ahead there could be several rainy periods through next week. We need not worry so much about inadequate soil moisture.
