Latest update on Nargis: Death toll 15,000+ with 30,000 missing primarily in Myanmar. Potential death toll up to 45,000. Rice crops destroyed at a time of rising rice prices.

Had the cyclone tracked north to Bangladesh or west towards India, death toll could easily have been even greater, in six figures.
