Cooler than average overnight and into tomorrow

Today has shaped up beautifully as high temperatures rise through the upper 70s and into the low 80s across the region. Humidity has been swept out on drying (and gusty) northwest winds throughout the day, leading to all around comfortable conditions. Variably cloudy skies will continue through sunset before clearing overnight.

Tonight: Overnight temperatures drop to the chilly (for mid-June) mid 50s in the suburbs to near 60 in the city, or about 5 to 8 degrees below normal for this time of year. If headed out late, you might want to grab a light jacket, as breezes from the west or northwest will continue around 10-15 mph.

Tomorrow: If you enjoyed today, you will probably feel the same about tomorrow, at least through early afternoon. Temperatures may run a few degrees cooler, as most places will reach highs in the mid to upper 70s, under partly cloudy skies. There may be a few showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two in the late afternoon and evening as cold air aloft causes a bit of instability.
