Typical July heat returns tomorrow

Following storms yesterday, and hot temperatures of the last week, today has shaped up quite pleasantly across the area. An occasionally gusty northwest wind has brought significantly drier and cooler air into the region, keeping highs in the low-to-mid 80s today. Beautiful conditions will last through the rest of the day and evening.

Tonight: A very comfortable night is on tap. Expect lows to drop close to 60 in the suburbs and down into the mid or upper 60s in the city. These temperatures are below average for this time of year and will certainly be a treat, so open up the windows and let some fresh air filter in.

Tomorrow: On Friday, humidity remains on the low side as temperatures return to near-average levels with highs topping out in the upper 80s to around 90. Skies will be mostly sunny throughout the day, and a light wind from the west or northwest will switch to coming from the south during the afternoon.
