Alexander Is the New Senate GOP Conference Chair
Sen. Lamar Alexander (Tenn.) won a resounding 31-16 victory over Sen. Richard Burr (N.C.) to become Republican Conference chairman, the No. 3 post on GOP leadership team.

Running a more moderate campaign based on reaching out to centrist and independent senators, Alexander, 67, won by a nearly 2-1 margin in a race that was shaped along generational and stylistic lines. Burr, 52, based his appeal on his rock-ribbed conservative credentials and, more importantly, a confrational approach toward dealing with the majority Democrats.
"I look forward to working with Senator McConnell and the entire Republican leadership team as we work to solidify our party's base while attracting more independents," Alexander said after his secret-ballot victory this morning.

A coveted position !!! Congradulations to Kyl and Alexander for their new GOP positions in the Senate. With this "new" leadership perhaps the party can reunite and accomplish their goals and solve the numerous problems which exist in our nation today. The last couple of years have been somewhat "lack luster" in getting important legislation concluded.

Republican fanatic and even supports Illegal Alien Amnesty to keep the greedy

Commerce Illegal Alien Employers happy and
to keep all their big GOP campaign contributions coming into to Bush & Cheney
and Nazi Republican Party and fellow Bush
and Cheney War Criminal Nutcase and who
deserves to be thrown our of Congress. And
I know what Im talking about here as I also
just happened to be an Independent Arizona
Voter and who wouldn't vote for Two Face
Jon Kyl or Amnesty John McCain to be the
town dogcatcher of the smallest one dog
town in Arizona. This only proves that the
Republican Nazi Party intends to continue
it's culture of corruption and insane failed policies of the Bush & Cheney Administration even after 2008.
