Romney Meets Reid, Quits Race

In the hours since Mitt Romney dropped out of the presidential race, there have been plenty of theories for why he made the decision, mostly centered on delegate math and money. But Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) has his own explanation.

"He met me in Salt Lake last Saturday," Reid told reporters this afternoon, referring to their presence at the funeral of Mormon church President Gordon Hinckley. He added that it was the first time the two high-profile Mormon politicians had met.

"That was the beginning of the end for him," Reid said of Romney. So now we know the real story.

Reid is Mormon, and upon the death of the Mormon president, sometimes the loss of a spiritual being gives the best of us pause. We ask, why are we doing this? I am in the world, but not of THIS world.

I moment of reflection, that maybe Mitt was not being embraced in the South bible belt had something to do with the decision to STOP.

Now, it could be Mormonism, or that lousy Jebite staff from Florida and their smear campaigns against McCain that casued his demise. I think this is the end of the road for Bradshaw, dont you?
