Sean Preston Chats With Suri

Vacation is all she ever wanted; Vacation, she had to get away... but Liz will be back next week. For now, tune into an exciting episode of “Great Moments in Celebaby Wiretaps.”

Thanks to a fortuitous combination of NSA wiretapping and well-timed leaks (thanks Karl!), we were able to get our hands on a transcript of a recent IM chat between Sean Preston Spears-Federline and Suri the Pseudo-Baby.

Sean Preston: Yo Suri! Wazzup?

Suri: Sean! I'm just chillin' and trying to clear my latest engrams (painful memories). My daddy was dancing around in his underwear and screaming “You're dangerous, Maverick!” into the mirror. Mommy then mistakenly yelled, “Be quiet Dawson!” and it went downhill from there.

Sean Preston: At least your dad is in his underwear. My folks walk around the house naked and make up raps like:
We're country y'all, and we've hit the wall;
Cuz we got no chance, to make people dance;
But we don't care, so we walk around bare

It will all be good for some intensive psychotherapy later. Oops, sorry Suri, I'm not supposed to use the p-word around you.

Suri: That's O.K. I've already arranged for a team of psychiatrists to help me whenever I get out of this place.

Sean Preston: My mommy used to really be into Kabbalah until she stopped practicing it because it was too hard to spell. That's when Aunt Madonna stopped visiting. I miss her but sometimes it hurt when she held me. Mommy then decided to make me her religion which ain't too bad except when she writes poetry about it.

Suri: That's some crazy [poop]. Luckily my mommy and daddy don't have many friends except some lady from Saved by the Bell.

Sean Preston: My daddy has way too many friends and they never leave. But now we have the Manny who runs a tight ship. When are you going to make your debut anyway?

Suri: I don't know. My dad doesn't want me to face the press. He says they just make stuff up like you're gay, or an alien, or washed up.

Sean Preston: No dog, you got it all wrong. You gotta get your face on all the mags. We're people who need People. The pavarottis will love you!

Suri: I know. I've been practicing my cute faces for the photographers.

Sean Preston: No! Cute doesn't sell... at least not for long. It needs to be dangerous. And you gotta do it now. You'll be old and washed up next month. Here are my tips for staying in the headlines. Don't you dare let Infangelina see this. She doesn't need any more help in keeping us from the headlines.

  1. Squirm around photographers especially when Mommy has her hands full.
  2. Always refuse to be restrained.
  3. Never misbehave unless the photogs are there.
  4. Don't complain when Mommy dresses you like a gangsta. That's front page news, baby and maybe even gets you a mention on Letterman.
  5. Manny good; Nanny bad.
  6. Stay away from Blanket. He's just freaky.

Suri: Thanks, Sean. As soon as we get the rights fees worked out for the photos, I'll make my big debut.

Sean Preston: Oh no! It's too late. You should have negotiated the fees during the labor. They'll agree to anything then.

Suri: I tried but my attorney was out of town. Daddy is asking for $5 million for a new statue honoring Operating Thetans but Mommy wants to use the money to build a big rowboat that'll take her back to Dawson's Creek. She calls it her “happy place”. I'm just hoping to get enough to pay for the lawyers to emancipate me.

Sean Preston: Oh, it's not so bad being a celebaby. It'll be over before you know it. And one day, when you're talking to your shrink or parole officer, you'll actually look back and miss that magical time when you were the hottest poop in town.

Suri: Thanks, man. I'd better get back to my crib. I think Daddy's home. I just heard him jump on the couch.

Sean Preston: Yeah, I'd better go and remix Daddy's latest single. He's got no ear for music. Later, shorty.

Suri: Later, babe.

Very cute. Thanks.

Uh, wasn't this supposed to be a site for what passes for news on celebrities and not stuff made up by the blogger himself? I'm just askin'

Posted by: Stick | July 24, 2006 2:17 PM

Frank,

We'll give you a pass for the first day. But we need some news, not made up stuff.

Tom Cruise is rich fertile ground. Paris Hilton used to be, but I think she's hit the Madonna threshold, that is, she's been so outrageous that she can't outrage us anymore.

Tom Cruise though is perfect.

too funny! love the bit about it hurting when madonna held him. i can get celeb gossip anywhere online -- this is something different. love it.

Posted by: amy | July 24, 2006 2:47 PM

Why do we need "news?" Don't you think half of the stuff on celebrity rags and websites is made up by somebody anyway, whether it is the reporter or the publicist or someone else?

This cracked me up - thanks for the diversion. I like the rowing away to her "happy place."

Posted by: Sue | July 24, 2006 3:46 PM

Man, this site just gets dumber and dumber.

Posted by: puddlejumper | July 24, 2006 3:59 PM

stop complaining. I always thought the morning mix was news, and the afternoon post was fun? this was funny enough to get me through the afternoon.

maybe self-important hill types can't even have fun with celeb news.

Posted by: OD | July 24, 2006 4:13 PM

wait a minute, this isn't real? great job, guest blogger. thanks for the much needed laugh.

Posted by: xenuWarriorPrincess | July 24, 2006 4:31 PM

I thought this was very clever. It made me howl and was a great afternoon distraction! Maybe Infangelina will chime in tomorrow.

Posted by: Rusty | July 24, 2006 5:30 PM

Sorry, while I appreciate frank's effort, the result was neither funny nor clever. I suspect the people thinking it was funny are the same type to be enthralled by TV sitcoms.

People, don't set the bar so low. Just because the man can use a word processor doesn't make him the Bard of Bethesda.

Posted by: Bradley | July 24, 2006 8:16 PM

This is the very first time I have been on here, so maybe I am just not getting it. I thought this was amusing. I don't understand why it seems people are complaining. Clearly they are seeking a distraction from their lives all the same. I mean, isn't this a celeb gossip site?

Posted by: PollyAnnaLife | July 25, 2006 7:23 AM

sometimes people just need a good laugh, especially athe expense of the celebrities who have lost their minds and think it is our job to cater to their ever whim or psychotic episode. He may be no bard but he knows which chords to pluck to make an entertaining tune.

Posted by: tonan the barbarian | July 25, 2006 7:25 AM

Cute. I enjoyed it. You can say lots when you are supposed to be a baby. Very creative.

Jan

Posted by: Jan Bujwit | July 25, 2006 7:25 AM

I think this was funny. I am not sure what was "supposed" to be in it's place - but this was amusing. I don't know why everyone is being so mean to this man! If I wanted to read some hard core journalism, I would sign on to CNN's website! Good job, Frank!

Posted by: Gwen | July 25, 2006 7:47 AM

You people are confused.

a) this isn't "gossip".

b) most damning... IT'S NOT FUNNY. NOT EVEN A LITTLE.

Here's the thing... if you're going to make fun of Suri, you have to work in a couple of elements that might make it funny:
1) Scientology
2) The crazy chick from "King of Queens"
3) Throw in the word TomKat
4) Make oblique reference to Nicole Kidman.
5) Throw paris hilton in.

You know how people say "Oh, you can't make a joke about ". The truth is, you can make a joke about anything. ANYTHING. ...but only if it's funny...

In fact, this is so not-funny, it might be considered offensive to the Society of Terminally Not Funny People who are searching for a cure for this disease which, unfortunately, does not take it's sufferers away.

No, give me actual gossip. This is just....

Or maybe frank is looking to take Kornheiser's job. He isn't funny either, but at least he's now famous. Or semi-famous. Let's take odds on whether he'll last the season.

Posted by: Bunkley | July 25, 2006 8:00 AM

very, very, cleaver. some good ol' fashoned fun. huray for suri, she can talk but cant be seen!!! how great is that? we don't need another bobble head doll in the room anyway. keep us laughing Liz!! adorable!! wouldnt you think a person with his kind of $$ wouldnt be holding out for money. if i were a star i would want to show my beautiful baby to the world. i did after i had my 3 and they were nobodies!!lol... jane

Posted by: janiedear2@aol.com | July 25, 2006 8:02 AM

This Was Soo Cool. And all of you childish complaining critics who couldn't find this slightly amuzing need to search for their own "happy place."

The Author of this peice is paid to create colorful commentary! Triumphant

Posted by: Preston | July 25, 2006 8:09 AM

I thought that was funny at first; then it gets a little ridiculous.. Leave them all alone I say.. They are just average people trying to have a family. So what, TomKat hasn't let anyone see Suri.. Who cares. He isnt that great anyways. Katie could have picked someone alot better. And as for Brit and Kev they RoCK! Shes a young mother and doing the best she can. When you have wacko's chasing you around with cameras trying to dig up dirt and take wild photos of you of course your gonna almost trip. I have a 6 month old and its hard enough to try to get around with him and all the stuff he needs, let alone having wackos chasing me with a camera. Leave them alone I say!! Let them raise their children anyway they chose. If Brit wants to dress him as gangsta let her be. Brit high 5 to ya Babe rock one We love you down here in West Palm Beach Florida.. Oh yeah if sean needs a playmate my son Jabe is ready to play!! No pictures I promise!!!

Posted by: Kelly | July 25, 2006 8:31 AM

Posted by: drew | July 25, 2006 8:32 AM

ok well im new to this site and even though this is the first time ive been on i love it! i think it was funny and just when i was having a bad day i laughed huh amazing right!?!?

Posted by: Kristi | July 25, 2006 8:43 AM

Hee! Funny stuff!

Posted by: Gina | July 25, 2006 8:45 AM

Absolutely stupid.

Posted by: Amstarr | July 25, 2006 8:45 AM

Anyone who didn't think this was funny needs their head shrunk! I thought it was very entertaining and I hope they come up with more! Maybe Suri can talk with Shiloh!

Posted by: joanne | July 25, 2006 8:52 AM

It's funny, Bunkley! And the writer did reference both Scientology (engrams) and "the crazy chick from King of Queens," who also happens to be "some lady from Saved By the Bell." 2 out of 5 ain't bad. And the other stuff was funny to me. One man's humor is another man's... oh well. Keep laughing!

Posted by: Michelle | July 25, 2006 8:57 AM

I chuckled...and then forgot it.

Posted by: DC | July 25, 2006 8:58 AM

This article was funny its something new to read everyday so keep up the good work.

Posted by: AH | July 25, 2006 8:59 AM

This was very funny. In order to appreciate it though, you need to have knowledge of their background. A few of the references were vague. Good work, keep it up.

Posted by: JLG | July 25, 2006 9:12 AM

Its real cute but to bad the parents are really beyond STUPID!!!!!

Posted by: annie | July 25, 2006 9:29 AM

Wow... those are some smart babies. I didn't even learn how to use Instant Messenger until college!

Posted by: Carmen | July 25, 2006 9:29 AM

ummmm..... i was expecting to laugh but i didn't sorry. I thought it was redunguoes :O.... I saw no meaning to it although I appreciate trying to make the people laugh. One question why does everything have to have Britney Spears in it and her kids can't ya'll get over it shes 24 and is enjoying life right now but no... you have to be poking fun at her all the time!! Get over it. If she would've married someone else like a celebrity she would probably be less mentioned RIGHT!!!! But she chose someone whos down to earth like her ya'll just need to get over it!! Plus shes from the south WE PEOPLE SOMETIMES END UP TALKING LIKE THAT IT JUST COMES EASIER TO US!!! ESPECIALLY YA'LL IS THAT SO WRONG??? You wanna make a story quite talking bout celebrities and get down to your real jobs actually getting celebrity news N NOT FAKE FALSE NEWS LIKE YA'LL USUALLY DO!!!
-Sam

Posted by: samantha | July 25, 2006 9:33 AM

Seems "Operating Thetans" is another reference to Scientology. Click on the link. That's some weird stuff!

Check out the links. More funny stuff.

Posted by: Michelle | July 25, 2006 9:35 AM

It's pathetic. You would think the washington post has better things to do than make up celebrity baby conversations. You all need to get a life, get fired and find a better job.

BS

Posted by: BSF | July 25, 2006 9:39 AM

I thought is was great! I can't see the attraction to these weird celebrities in the first place! I couldn't care less what they do or say! If indeed they were real "downhome" people, as they claim to be, they wouldn't be such "Diva's" and demand more money and notoriety! They are boring!

Posted by: Lis | July 25, 2006 9:44 AM

Hey BSF,
Why did you continue to read it, if it was pathetic? HMMMM

Posted by: Lis | July 25, 2006 9:48 AM

THIS WAS REALLY ACTUALLY KIND OF STUPID!WHO MADE THIS AGAIN?

Posted by: SAMANTHA | July 25, 2006 9:51 AM

Whoever takes this serious really need to get a life, it was meant to be a joke....!
I thought it was kinda cute, if babies could talk or type this is what they would say. It was so ghetto fabulous.

Posted by: Chrissy | July 25, 2006 9:54 AM

Ha, it reminds me of that south park episode with Tom Cruise.

Posted by: Moonlyteshadow | July 25, 2006 10:07 AM

I loved it..too funny...yikes, some people need to get a sense of humor... it was a fluff piece intended for entertainment, not give people dirt to discuss around a watercooler lol. I do think however that Suri will not be introduced to the world until she is around two.

Posted by: Gina | July 25, 2006 10:09 AM

You have to be kidding me! I guess I am the crazy one for even READING this. Do "we" have nothing else or better to report then some "made-up" crap? Wowza.
Some are calling it *cute*, and how old are you? Sorry, I don't think this story is cute. I think The Washington Post won't be getting my money any longer, not after printing this. Amazing.
Have wonderful days everyone, Cindy
(Houston, Texas)

Posted by: Cindy Barnes | July 25, 2006 10:11 AM

I'm disappointed...that could have been so much better. The only funny part was Kate wanting to build a boat to go back to Dawson's Creek. The rest just looks like weak propaganda designed to encourage the public to put pressure on TomKat to let their baby out of the closet (even tho Tom still hasnt come out himself.) See? Thats comedy.
-Mary in Dallas

Posted by: Mary | July 25, 2006 10:20 AM

I think the made up stuff is way more interesting than the actual real life of the over "ego" inflated celebs! We have far more to worry about than what Suri looks like! I don't care! If we as a society stopped caring what they did, all this stupid publicity would stop! I read the story as just what it was, an amusing little piece of fluff, just like everything else written about these silly celebrities!!!

Posted by: min | July 25, 2006 10:27 AM

it's all just goofy.
none of it matters unless you make it matter. so what? who cares? and a momentary lapse in to the frailty of being human...which we all are.
even those with perfect teeth (manufactured) have to pull pants down and poop

Posted by: just me | July 25, 2006 10:27 AM

Ahh, why are people writing whole paragraphs on why this story sucks? It's for entertainment, people... If you don't get funny stuff, then don't read it! This is really funny though...

Posted by: Victoria | July 25, 2006 10:27 AM

I read better stuff on peoples profiles!

Posted by: Faith | July 25, 2006 10:44 AM

I found this article hilarious. However, some people are doubting the EXISTENCE of Suri Cruise. I am hoping that the Washington Post is up to the challenge of getting to the bottom of this mystery. Where are Woodward and Bernstein when you need them?

Posted by: Hippo | July 25, 2006 10:56 AM

I can't believe I even opened this web site. These babies don't need psychotherapy. I do for wasting time reading this. Really stupid and, EXTREMELY boring.

Posted by: di | July 25, 2006 11:01 AM

Cute and different... I enjoyed it!

Posted by: Amanda | July 25, 2006 11:03 AM

I think all of you offended people need to get a life!! Did you actually think that when you clicked on this, that it would be an ACTUAL conversation between Suri and Sean? HELLO!!! You shouldn't have gone to this websight to read it if you were worried about them and their privacy!

Posted by: Kimmy | July 25, 2006 11:06 AM

some of you guys take this site and the quest for celebrity info way too seriously. this was a hoot and added to my morning in a way that a pic of baby suri just wouldn't do... perhaps the next spoof should be on the celebrity mongers who need a real life

Posted by: melody k | July 25, 2006 11:06 AM

This is outrageously stupid. Shame on you for putting it out in the public, I mean I'm 14 and witty, but I dont even think its funny. SHAME ON YOU!

Posted by: Tasha | July 25, 2006 11:07 AM

It wasn't interesting becuase none of it was new!! It's old and previously scripted or reviewed news and TomKat is a thing of the past! Your jokes based upon the lifestyle of Brit. AND Kevin were unentertaining and drab, they werent very CLEVER or funny. Good try though
ps. i thought the idea was a good one but the content didnt withstand

Posted by: aubadaba3 | July 25, 2006 11:10 AM

Amusing...That is all that I have to say about that.

Posted by: Peaches | July 25, 2006 11:11 AM

Stupidiest thing I've EVER read. Seriously, what a waste of time. It's not funny, at all.

Posted by: John | July 25, 2006 11:11 AM

I love it! It definatly will get me through the day. TOO GREAT!!

This is proof that the world is doomed, seriously.

Posted by: Saphyra | July 25, 2006 11:14 AM

OK so i just have one MAJOR problem with this one. whats up with yall making fun of the way brit talks, shes just a down-home southern girl and doing stuff the way she saw her mother do it when she was growing up, anyone who travel down south will see at least one car with small child sitting on the lap of the driver or a cutsie little outfit, i guess its true, ITS A SOUTHERN THANG, AINT NO WAY IN HELL YALL WOULD UNDERSTAND.

Posted by: chelsea | July 25, 2006 11:15 AM

im not sure what to think

Posted by: jen | July 25, 2006 11:17 AM

FAKE... this was horrible..... i hope no one believes this crap.

Posted by: | July 25, 2006 11:21 AM

This was funny. I thought it was extremely clever, EXCEPT I am sure that Brittany & Kevin and Tom and Katie aren't laughing. I wish it could of been laughter that didn't hurt anyone.

Laughing is the best medicine -- it is phenomenal. If I could only come up with something that was really funny that didn't hurt anyone's feelings, that would be worth repeating!!

Posted by: peep | July 25, 2006 11:25 AM

Good grief. Those who thought it was the worst thing they've ever read either don't read anything or have mastered gross oversimplification. Other than it being a tad long, it was amusing. Anyone really interested in celebrity gossip might well check out what's missing in their own life and ADJUST. Good grief, this is all mindless pap...the lives of celebrities. Why do we care? Why aren't we out doing something more meaningful with our spare time? Guilty pleasures, to be sure. Just don't take it so seriously!

Y'all don't have to talk that way when you've had plenty of exposure to voice and speech lessons, coaches, managers, etc. The fall back on "we're country" really is an insult to all people country who are not ignorant hicks. Get a tractor, Britney or get a clue... Tom, just get out of town. You're boooooring and just plain weird.

Posted by: Eventones | July 25, 2006 11:28 AM

Wow....some people take their morning junk reading way too seriously.

Posted by: Dori | July 25, 2006 11:30 AM

i thought that it was amusing, but not hilarious. and the people who were offended by it, get over it, its a joke. dont take everything so damn seriously. except for the one talking about the southern accents, samantha, southern people a lot of the time cant help it so yall can just quit making fun of britney for it. she cant help it, its natural. but anyways, it was pretty funny!

Posted by: ellie | July 25, 2006 11:30 AM

For those of you who are so offended that this isn't news, GET A SENSE OF HUMOR! Everybody needs a laugh now and then. This was cute, Thanks Frank

Posted by: Teresa | July 25, 2006 11:33 AM

This was funny...
People really need to lighten up a little.
For those who thought it was a waste of time...why did you waste even more of YOUR time commenting on it???

Posted by: momma2two | July 25, 2006 11:33 AM

I found it mildly amusing. Look folks it a matter of opinion. If you thought it was funny great, if not then that's fine too. I hate when people state their opinions as fact and try to tell people what to think. Lighten up people! I wasn't meant to be taken seriously. Fun read!

Posted by: Prissy | July 25, 2006 11:34 AM

Oh, that was lame. I mean, it gets old reading "real" stuff about celebrities and their babies, but made up stuff? That was pointless.

Posted by: Don't Ask | July 25, 2006 12:03 PM

Isn't it possible tthat the whole pregnancy was made up? And that the baby was adopted from a surrogate in the hospital giving birth? This way, Katie walks in waits on the other mother to deliver and then leaves- no strectch marks. I think it was all fabricated (the dates of the pregnancy) perhaps she was either not prego at all or got preggo a lot earlier than she says so she doesn't look like a floozy. Either way I believe Tom IS GAY and goin thru a midlife crisis.
This can do nothing but help Katie Holmes get publicity. It's a crock of crap. TOM IS GAY and an idiot that needs psychotherapy (oh I forgot he knows everything about that). He is a washed up GAY in denial. That never impregnated anyone. Not Mimi Rogers, Not Nicole Kidman, Do the math. The character (homosexual vampire) Lestat in INTERVIEW WITHA VAMPIRE was too realistic and he never talks about it anymore. Curious isn't it. Do a DNA TEST. Why would he sue a guy that accused him of being gay???? Metheinks he does protest tooo much.
TOM is Gay, the relationship is a publicity ploy. Dig further forthe truth...Liberate the poor imbucile.

Posted by: jumpinjackflashinthepan | July 25, 2006 12:03 PM

The best part of this whole article is the bickering that takes place here in the comments section ..... Whether you like it or hate it ..... This is where the rubber meets the road ..... My personal opinion really doesn't mean a tinkerers f..t ..... but as you can tell, here I am just like the rest of you typing away ..... Oh by the way the actual article sucks ..... But thats just my opinion ..... have a nice day ;-)

Posted by: annonymous | July 25, 2006 12:14 PM

O wow. I can't believe I just wasted my time reading that. momma2two is totally right. This comment is even wasting my time. But I have some time to waste so I'll share my opinion. Celebrities are PEOPLE. Yes, I said it. And even more contriversial, their children are too! I've heard more about celeb break-ups in the past week then the situation in Lebanon. I think this is stupid, and I'm 13. This is just a reminder of how sad the world has become, but there's nothing I can do about it. I can't vote, heck, I can't even drive. But I can tell you, stop caring about celebs' lives, and start worring about your own! You may say I'm taking this too seriously, but someone has to take things seriously these days. I'm not trying to be annoying, just honest.
And please don't complian about these comments, because you took your time to read them.

Posted by: Laura | July 25, 2006 12:17 PM

It was very creative and the writer was able to take every quirk of both families and pass them off to their kids! How can you not laugh! Especially at the "pavarottis."

Posted by: Lor | July 25, 2006 12:18 PM

Let it go already.....maybe there is a Suri....maybe not....Sean Preston is real and I'm sure his parents are the best parents they are able to be with cameras stuck in their noses while trying to walk from a store to a car...I understand Britney is a celeb, and she's fair play....but when she has her child with her...BACK OFF....

Posted by: LanesGanmaw | July 25, 2006 12:22 PM

Why is everyone taking this so seriously....it was a joke..if you laughed, you laughed......if you didnt, then you didnt....who cares...if you dont like stuff like this then dont read it. It is a little funny how people who hate it are wasting their time complaining....move on to something else...don't you have something better to do? Leave the poor author alone...just doing thier job and this served its purpose.

Posted by: smile | July 25, 2006 12:24 PM

this is so ridiculous it doesn't even warrant a comment!!!

Posted by: lisa | July 25, 2006 12:25 PM

....and you posted one because..

Posted by: dave | July 25, 2006 12:27 PM

Oh people lighten up, this is funny and just too laughable to be so cynical. It definitely brightened my day after reading all this horrible news. I enjoyed!!!!

Posted by: gigs | July 25, 2006 12:42 PM

It was kind of cute!!!! But is there really a Suri Cruise? What do you think bro???

Posted by: Lisa | July 25, 2006 1:12 PM

This was a waste of time. I only even clicked on it to see what fresh scam it was. People should stop caring about celeb gossip so much and actually pay attention to what matters, politically and stuff. And anyway, even if you're into gossip, when there's so little left that people are making it up, shouldn't you start to wonder? I'm only 14 and I don't find this interesting one bit. The whole "celebrity baby" concept is old, tired, and downright stupid.

Posted by: anonymous | July 25, 2006 1:12 PM

This was just hilarious! It was easy to see before going on to this article that it was meant to be a joke. I don't think anyone should be angry! The world is a very depressing place now and a little levity is much needed. Thanks for the humor Frank!

Posted by: M & M | July 25, 2006 1:27 PM

Posted by: Julia | July 25, 2006 1:29 PM

wow!! that's just incredible!! Did those people use that new thing where you allow the baby to listen to classical music and foreign languages during gestation? Those kids have amazing eye-hand coordination don't they? I am pretty sure when I was a baby I never could have typed that well. I sure am impressed-- I bet that Sean dude will be producing records by the time he is in Kindergarten-- he is sharp!
Dang! my computer time is over now- but I sure am glad I got to see what them babies was thinking. I am gonna pretend to be looking at job ads tomorrow too, in case there is more from them.

Posted by: Annie | July 25, 2006 1:38 PM

I thought this was very clever and quite funny! Thanks for the laugh!

Posted by: Anti-Tom | July 25, 2006 1:48 PM

gawds that was stupid, rude and condescending. You're probably one among the millions of idiots that don't know many or any celebrities, so you have no f-ckin clue what they are like and you think that making up stupid stuff like that is fun. The paparazzi are not fun either. Grow up. I'm sure you would have a cow if someone did this to you.

Posted by: JDE | July 25, 2006 1:51 PM

He has way to much time on his hands, and apparenlty I do to since I read the whole thing.

Posted by: Your worst nightmare | July 25, 2006 1:55 PM

That was completely fake.

Posted by: laurie | July 25, 2006 2:03 PM

That was completely fake.

Posted by: laurie | July 25, 2006 2:03 PM

That conversation was not real by all means!

Posted by: | July 25, 2006 2:06 PM

^^ Yes I agree!

Posted by: John | July 25, 2006 2:06 PM

This is so hilarious! I can only imagine. But some of the things people come up with. KInda scares me.lol. I really do this Suri needs to make her big and LONG waited apparence. I mean if they wait any long i think i'll end up losing intrest and NOT even care! I think personally Tom is just waiting this whole thing out to try to get more money. Thats a real shame.

Posted by: Tiffany | July 25, 2006 2:06 PM

I agree too but it was still kind of cute and funny.

Posted by: nobody | July 25, 2006 2:07 PM

i couldn't even read the whole thing. doesn't anyone know what the word "funny" means? if that stupid story "got your through your day" because it was so funny, you might be just as clueless as the celebs!

Posted by: kris | July 25, 2006 2:07 PM

I think this whole junk about slamming brit and kevin is completely over said and done with. Come on' now this has gotten way out of hand. They are people! Either you like them or not they do have real lives and real feelings! I think this made up article is just a pathetic low blow once again. Find something or someone else to talk about, already! Everyone is just beating this thing raw! It's becoming rather sad. I feel sorry for brit and kevin.

Posted by: Guess Who! | July 25, 2006 2:08 PM

thanks frank. it was good to get away from the serious side of the news for even just a little while. if people can't see the funny side of this, they should'nt have even opened it. if you want to be serious all the time go to cnn.

Posted by: tlr | July 25, 2006 2:16 PM

I never knew the internet was so crammed full of humorless people. I thought it was funny!

Posted by: Diana | July 25, 2006 2:26 PM

Very cute. I want to see Suri!!! Damn Tom Cruise won't show his little alien baby!haha.

Posted by: Amelia | July 25, 2006 3:20 PM

very funny...i needed the laugh thanks.

Posted by: rickynews | July 25, 2006 3:31 PM

i think you definitely have too much time on your hands. making up stories that happen between month old celebrity babies is not something to be proud of... i mean think about it... you're grown... do something productive with your time...

Posted by: ross | July 25, 2006 4:55 PM

Hahahahahaha.....This story was extremely funny.....Sean rocks(so does his mommy).

I just have something to say to all those people who read the story and do not find it funny>>>> CHEER UP, EMO KIDS! :D

Posted by: Bicho | July 25, 2006 6:33 PM

Are you kidding? You'd think that a credible and known internet website like washingtonpost.com would come up with something actually "funny". I guess that's why their ratings are going down. Pssh. I felt embarassed for the author (Liz Kelly?) reading this, this has to be the lamest most pathetic "made up" convo. ever.

Posted by: Maya | July 25, 2006 9:00 PM

It had it's moment but they were few and far between. In other words, this was not funny.

Posted by: Fashionista_911 | July 25, 2006 9:08 PM

Did you(all you complaining people) expect something intelligent and FACTUAL from a gossip website? Sheesh.

I thought this was absolutely hillarious! You should turn this into a weekly thing :)

Posted by: Tash | July 25, 2006 9:34 PM

Whoa! The hostility in this place. Chill, people! It's suppose to be fun(ny). Don't over analyze just because it came from Washington Post.

And give the Southern Thang a break, I mean if you southern girls are so laissez-faire about things no wonder hillbilly jokes are rising in popularity. Hospitality is something, stupidity is somethingelse.

Posted by: carrie | July 26, 2006 3:08 AM

Well said, Carrie.

Posted by: PollyAnnaLife | July 26, 2006 12:49 PM

umm kinda odd... and very stupid... sorry but uhh the only people you were really dissin were Tomkat... not Spederline... btw Spederline pretty much Rocks... soo uhh yea not funny... but not mean i guess, which is a good thing?

Posted by: JJ | July 26, 2006 7:08 PM

I wonder what kind of a life a baby would have from a movie star couple that is much-married? Like whose baby are you? BTW any guesses on how many minutes Brad Pitt stays married to this time?

Posted by: Stars In My Eyes | July 27, 2006 12:11 AM

Hey i liked this it was funny ...I thought it was really cute how they were discussing their parents' issues that we all know about anyways.... very amusing to read for a change

Posted by: hunnie | July 27, 2006 12:44 PM

You complainers are amazing ... First off, if you're looking for serious, you probably shouldn't be on this blog. Second, "funny" is subjective. What tickles one person's funnybone is apt to be different from what tickles another. Third, celebrities open themselves up for all kinds of comment (particularly this set of parents -- Britney and Kevin are idiots; Tom is just plain wacko; and poor Katie just didn't have a clue who she was REALLY making a baby with) ... and since we've got a right to free speech, I say "go for it, Liz." I agree with the poster who mentioned going to CNN for real news; or any number of the zillions of celebrity sites online for real celebrity gossip and rumor. AND for real, people -- it just ain't that SERIOUS!

Posted by: EG | July 27, 2006 1:33 PM

I think most of the comments I am reading in the blogs and in the media are really nuts. Come on guys, get a life! Tom is just living HIS life and he is really happy with Katie and he has a beautiful family. You think he cares about what you losers are writing here? If I were Tom I would show my baby to no one. A family is not a circus. I would never show my bay to the world if I were him. Family is sacred and none of your business. As per the way you speak you seem to have the right to everything. Sorry, that is only true in your retarded minds. In the real universe somebody sane would do exactly what Tom is doing. He is keeping his family safe from all of you!!!!!

Keep laughing- the first person to actually get a photo of this kid that can be verified is going to have a huge pay day. I work in an industry where one client mentioned how much he would be willing to pay for a picture of Suri and it is much more that I make in a year ot two.
