"Kevin Federline developing new reality series"

This may be the worst idea for a reality show since "I Pity The Fool!"

Posted by: BF | December 4, 2006 9:16 AM

The best version of the Lohan story includes this quote from her publicist: "And, by the way, she's not saying ... she'll stop drinking tomorrow."

She appears to holding on tight to the idea of accepting those things she cannot change.

Remind me, what's that second "A" stand for?

Posted by: cevansjr | December 4, 2006 9:29 AM

so let me get this straight. When I was under 21 I couldn't get into bars or clubs without a fake id, which worked because I was unknown. So how is LL getting into clubs and bars, getting tanked and not getting arrested or the clubs losing their liquor license for underage drinking? Its not like the bouncers or the club managers or bar tenders dont know who she is. What is going on in this country where celebs can continually skate the law. It is just plain ridiculous. All a DA or law enforcement agent would need to do is read People mag or US, then go give the club LL was seen drinking at a huge ticket and fine. No extra work needed. Its a George Tenet "slam dunk."

"She explained, "I love the English lifestyle, it's not as capitalistic as America. People don't talk about work and money, they talk about interesting things at dinner."She added, "I like living here because I don't fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than Americans."

Though it seems Gwyneth happily profits from us stupid Americans. What a jerk.

Posted by: Danielle | December 4, 2006 9:48 AM

I'm with bMcB..how is Lindsay getting into these clubs?? She's only 20. I'm waiting for the next headline where she sues this establishment for contributing to her alcoholism.

I wonder what Gweneth would think of us stupid Americans if we started boycotting her films?

Regarding KFed starting a realiting series...*yawn*....next.

Between the 'i look demure next to brit and lyn' and the 'i wont dis my peeps' - Paris is really starting to be a lot less fun. The snarky 'i know, istn this a trainwreck' grin she spouts when out on the town is growing on me too.

Has anyone seen the picture of Dolly Parton on the front page? Scary. I didn't even recognize her. Too many facelifts and collagen implants. She looks like Joan Rivers.

Posted by: v | December 4, 2006 10:47 AM

THE "A" (the 2nd one, at least) stands for ANONYMOUS, a concept the Washington Post has no respect for..her name would be Lindsay L., just like it should have been Marion B. years ago, but that wouldn't sell as many papers.

Posted by: Ravennaw | December 4, 2006 11:04 AM

Don't get your knickers in a twist, Ravennaw. Click the link and you'll see that LL's publicist ANNOUNCED that she was going to AA meetings.

Posted by: neener | December 4, 2006 11:26 AM

don't be mad ravennaw... she admitted that she's going to AA meetings... how many other newspapers around the country probably printed the same article.. especially since it's from Reuters. anyways, you know the celebs do it all for show... and i don't give a crap.

Posted by: Anonymous | December 4, 2006 11:41 AM

I'm not going to get into it, here's a link that will help you to understand what I mean... you can copy / paste it into the address bar area -

Ravennaw, I understand where you're coming from, but Lindsay L. announced this herself so this totally makes the second "A" moot. If this was a legitmate cry for help she may have tried a little harder to keep this private. Just a thought.

Posted by: bored... | December 4, 2006 12:05 PM

Hey, Lindsay's publicist, AA asks that you not publicly announce that your client is attending AA meetings. That's part of what anonymous means. It's not something you get points for - you go because you have a problem and you need help.

Unlike you bMcB, Lindsay Lohan has toxic parents. She parties with her mother (ugh!), Dina Lohan. There was a story a few months ago of how mother and daughter was drunk in a NYC club and got into argument. I am sorry but getting tank with my kid is not mother-daughter bonding.

Posted by: Lisa | December 4, 2006 12:08 PM

Gweneth Paltrow's right--and I think I'm too stupid to watch any of her films anymore. If Gwennie disdains me, she must also disdain my capitalitic, American dollars. I think I can find a better use for them than to support some American ex-pat w/ a faux Brit accent.

Posted by: sen | December 4, 2006 1:19 PM

That was going to be my comment - did her mom, Dina, also check herself into AA? She's a bad influence on her daughter and has taught her how to be a prima-dona princess. Lindsay Lohan can't control her drunken urges and she lacks respect for other people as evidenced by her partying late into the night and not coming into work the next morning. If I repeatedly missed work because I was "sick", I'd be fired.

I used to like Lindsay Lohan, but she needs to attend "Toxic Parents Anonymous" and stop hanging out with her mom.

"Kevin Federline developing new reality series" -- i read that as "Kevin Federline is developing a new reality. Series 1: Life without the cash cow" this could easily be followed by "Series 2: Vaccination and Other (Belated)Gifts to Society" i would be like most of the population: refusing to watch by supportive of the cause.

i think those coping with the effects of alcoholism had enough struggles before being associated w/lohan

Posted by: TheSnark | December 4, 2006 1:34 PM

i snark better than i type. should be "but supportive of the cause". maybe i would type better if i was english?

Posted by: The Snark | December 4, 2006 1:36 PM

Like Kim Fields, I have also quit acting to focus on directing.

Posted by: Jay | December 4, 2006 1:36 PM

I believe the British word for Gwyn would be a "prat". You probably have to insult her in her new language for her to pay attention because American English is probably uncivilized too.

Posted by: ch | December 4, 2006 3:00 PM

Tootie is pregnant. Wait, isn't she like 52 years old now? Go on, girl!
LiLo in AA -- please. Instead of announcing it, wouldn't it have been better if she just disappeared for a few months and showed up in a movie looking healthy, only doing press for the movie and not hitting any clubs? Oh, and wearing panties?! Shut up, LiLo's PR machine.
Gwynnie and Courtney and Madonna -- good riddance. Stay over there, thank you. Ooh, maybe you can convice LiLo and Paris and Britney to move to London too?!! That would be refreshing.

Laura Bennett had a boy, I win the office pool! Hopefully this won't change her fashion style, I'm still looking for her crisp designs in a store near me.

How come every time you come around my London London Bridge want to go down my London London Bridge

I'm not saying she's right, but have any of the people bashing Gwhiny ever been to Britain? It reminds me of all the France bashing by people who don't know anything about France or have especially never even been there. But she's still a jack@ss for her comments because as she stereotypes the dumb greedy American she hypocritically stereotypes the classy intelligent Brit.

Posted by: London Bridge | December 4, 2006 3:12 PM

Have never been able to figure out what was so interesting about Gwyneth in the first place. She's a so-so actress, has the face of a Pekinese, and has a tendency to spout inane comments that she seems to think are deep. Let England keep her.

Posted by: IndyAnna | December 4, 2006 3:23 PM

Have to Agree with IndyAnna. I find nothing remotely interesting about Gwyneth and never have. Her movies are marginal.

What I find appalling is her hypocrisy. Slamming Americans for their greed . . . .ummm, that she PROFITS from. How about giving back some of your money then? Puh-leeeez.

Posted by: Agree with Indy | December 4, 2006 3:52 PM

Face of a Pekinese! Ha!...ain't that the truth. Thanks, IndyAnna. I needed that one.

Posted by: terry | December 4, 2006 7:06 PM

I liked the Gwynnie quote after she "took to her bed for a week" after her Oscar win because "I thought everyone was laughing at me and saying I didn't deserve to win".

News Flash: They were. And you didn't.
