Gosh, Bobby B. taking the money and running? I guess they didn't expect THAT! But Kane is an idiot anyway.
Posted by: Stick | March 2, 2007 9:14 AM
He hung up on them! That's awesome!
Posted by: Pompous Magnus | March 2, 2007 9:15 AM
Yeah, HOT 99.50 then spoke to Bobby Brown's brother and bro told them that their money would be returned. That radio station is a joke. Their stuipd antics are getting old.

You forgot that it's also Jon Bon Jovi's birthday today!!
He's 45 today & still is as smokin' hot as he's always been.
So go get your shag wig, put on that spandex, crank up that boombox & party 'til you're Slippery When Wet!!

To the anon 08:51 AM poster, call Kane. He seems to be pretty gullible (or stupid).

I wonder if all of the baby-daddy wanna-bes will show up for Anna Nichole's funeral. Please place this spectacle in the ground and cover it up!

For $20,000, I'll pretend to be Bobby for a week.
Posted by: Pompous Magnus | March 2, 2007 9:35 AM
Pompous Magnus, in order to qualify, you must be trifling and lazy, and have no morals or standards.
Posted by: Girlie | March 2, 2007 9:48 AM
Girlie: you forgot no singing abilities what so ever.
Chris Rock: is a tool. His wife would be better off w/o him.
Beyonce: Please go on vacation. I'm very tired of you, or better yet, shave your head and join Britney in rehab.
Beauty Supply Owners & Nail Stylists watch out. Foxy Brown is back on the streets.

Kane (and Hot 99.5) are probably smarter than we think. I doubt they weren't aware of what a lazy sleaze BB is when they made the deal. But now they've got media outlets from coast to coast talking about a local DC radio station. Talk about publicity. It was probably the cheapest nationwide publicity money they've ever spent. What's $20K when you're able to get the whole country aware of your station?

Ugh, I am so tired of reading about Britney. All this about her in rehab is turning me off gossip for good. It's no longer fun to read

Hey, did anyone hear about the AP ban on Paris Hilton? Unfortunately its over. Did anyone even notice? Did anyone even care?

Wow... Anna Nicole is going to get buried before James Brown.

Sounds like a bill I can fill, Girlie...
...and Lisa, I can sing your name like Paulie Shore. Lisa! LIIIISSSSSAAAAA!!!!!

Beyonce is VERY over-rated. She needs to be pushed down to the D-list "celebrities" where she and her talent? belong.
Britney might well indeed be having postpartum depression. However, I believe it's more of a realization that she is a has-been and more than likely a never-to-be-again. Again, another person made a celebrity based on good marketing and little or no talent.

I take back what I said about Kane. He is not an idiot. He is, as pointed out above, canny. However he is mouthy and boring and his morning support are idiots.

Tanya B!
Great "mix!"
And for the record, I love Beyonce and want all to stop hatin'!

Here's a story on the AP ban of Paris:

What a complete idiot Chris Rock is. Married & bored or single & lonely -- those are the options he sees? No wonder he's unhappy, if those are his choices. They do not go together, you idiot!!
And given his morning rant in front of the mirror or whatever -- goodbye to hopes, goodbye to dreams, trying to make someone else happy -- well, this dude needs some serious therapy, as he's codependent, dysfunctional and just plain stupid.
Not to mention clueless about what makes a healthy relationship, or even what a healthy relationship is!

An AP ban on Paris Hilton is like TMZ/Perez Hilton ban on the war in Iraq.
When every media outlet decides to "ban" her then we might see a diff. Though we'd have one less celebutard to discuss here.

I miss the old morning DJs on hot 99.5 - they were SO much better than this Kane guy. I gave him a couple of weeks, but now I don't even listen to the station anymore. Thank god Tony K's back on the air - he's my new morning fave.

This column and thread take the cake for eye-glazing-over-mind-numbing boredom. You can't get more of a yawnfest than talking about Beyonce, Bobby Brown, and Britney. Eddie Money celebrating someone's birthday?! I thought he'd been relegated to playing CVS openings quite awhile ago.
As for Heather Mills on DWTS, there are the Pro-Heather/Anti-Heather camps hotly debating whether she:
1. Is very light on her foot
2. Hasn't got a leg to stand on

I've got to agree with Claire. Do I ever miss Mark and Chris from the morning show. I haven't a clue where they got the new guy from. I just can't listen to him.
Man, first Halle gets a man and seems to be keeping him and now Jessica (I thought she was whining that she couldn't get a date) hooks up with John Mayer of all people. They're both ruining a running joke my friends and I have.
Is it wrong of me to watch Dancing with the Stars for the fancy foot work and Heather's worries a lil bit. I know, I'm wrong, and I feel bad.

Whoever mentioned above that Kane was smart was apparently right on the money. People.com is carrying the story and naming both the DJ and the radio station. This little fiasco just got Hot 99.5 into national media. Mark and Chris never did that! I can't believe this mess. It was brilliant.
I liked Mark and Chris and wonder what they're up to. But I'm not going to lie...even though I sometimes think Kane is a little too sanctimonious or know-it-all, the show makes me laugh my butt off almost every morning as I get ready.

Thank God someone is finally buring that poor girl! Too bad it can't be with more dignity!
Bobby, Bobby be a man take care of your responsibilities. If you had been paying your child support all along you wouldn't be so far behind, regardless of your financial situation now.

Kane came from Florida and I wish he would go back to Florida. The morning show has gone downhill.
Posted by: Plumet | March 2, 2007 9:03 PM
Please, please, I beg you, please, stop merging people's names together. It's so annoying, always has been. Plus, that was out in 2006.

Bobby Brown hung up on HOT 99.5. Now, the DJ is crying for their money back.
