Huh. Interesting comment from the Queen O' Nice; seems like she's responding to something that Trump didn't say. The plot (and that's all) thickens!

Promise us you won't leave us for TMZDC, Liz! Pretty Please?

I wonder if Rosie is going to interfere in Donald Trump's WWE "Battle of the Billionaires" match against Vince McMahon.

Posted by: BF | March 14, 2007 9:21 AM

Brit should ask Liz Taylor how those rehab romances turn out.

Posted by: Jay | March 14, 2007 9:25 AM

Chamosaur, I don't think you need to worry. I'm not too interested in Capitol Hill dumpster diving.

Posted by: Liz | March 14, 2007 9:39 AM

Britney's rehab center is called Promises. The center guarantees a sobriety and a date within thirty days.

Posted by: Lisa | March 14, 2007 9:43 AM

britney just doesn't seem to get the concept of "trading up."

Posted by: b | March 14, 2007 9:46 AM

Liz,
You all dumpster-dive.........just keeping it real!!

Posted by: G | March 14, 2007 9:57 AM

When you are trailer trash pretty much anything is "up"!

Posted by: Stick | March 14, 2007 9:58 AM

Ms. Spears seems destined to make every mistake in the book in her attempts to grow out of adolescence. The "rehab romance" is a proven road to disaster - the romance does not solve all problems, the object of affection is revealed to be a big bundle of problems, and some manner of relapse results.

"The center guarantees a sobriety and a date within thirty days."

...or your graceless, wretched, scandalous and judgment-impaired life back!

Hey, WaPo... are you kids on Central Time, or is this really the Chicago Trib? It's time to move your clocks ahead an hour!

I hope the Brit AA hookup is just a rumor. But a friend of mine said that everyone sleeps with everyone there, replacing booze with sex.
I wonder which is more destructive and dangerous?
The good news is AA does work for a lot of people, but sounds like you only get out of it what you put in.

Posted by: Barb | March 14, 2007 10:12 AM

Hi Barb, I'm a young person in AA in the DC area. It's true that there are romances, like within any social group, but the statement (not yours, I realize) "everyone sleeps with everyone there, replacing booze with sex" is simply not true. The meetings I attend encourage sober, good living in all aspects of one's life and alternative addictions to alcohol and drugs (sex, food, shopping etc.) are discouraged.

I totally agree with what you've said though - you do get out of AA what you put in =)

When in recovery aren't you supposed to stay away from romance for a year? At least that's what I heard on Brothers and Sisters.

For Larry Birkhead's sake I hope that baby is his otherwise he's going to look really foolish. Even my mailman is stepping up as a possibility at this point.

TMZDC.....that could either be a huuuuge snoozefest or we could learn far too many things that we never wanted to know,

I can't even begin to list those things, they're far too numerous.

"When in recovery aren't you supposed to stay away from romance for a year?"

Some experienced members of AA suggest not getting into a relationship in your first year, but it's not technically in the Alcoholics Anonymous text (also referred to as the "Big Book"). Some people don't, some people do, individuals in both groups are successful depending on their commitment to recovery. The point of not dating someone in the first year is to minimize emotional ups and downs (that so often come with dating).

TMZDC: Look honey, Isn't that our senator coming out the strip club?

Posted by: Lisa | March 14, 2007 2:01 PM

Rehab romance especially. Rule No. 1 for dating: Never date anyone who has more problems than you.

Posted by: Stick | March 14, 2007 2:26 PM

I have a coworker that was in local rehab.
She is now pregnant by, and engaged to, a fellow rehab client. The rock on her finger is large. He must have had a pretty good street corner business going on before he was busted. Go ahead and work on those large rocks, Britney!

Somebody that likes Rosie should intervene and let her know the medication is NOT working.

Now, if we can only find somebody who actually "likes" Rosie enough to do that.
