Comment Box: Usher's Cold Feet, Eddie Haskell and More

Can somebody clue me in? Is Usher's g[irl]friend a gold digger or plain ol' bad news? -- Anonymous comments on Morning Mix: Usher Cancels Weekend Wedding

A little background: 37-year-old Tameka Foster was Usher's stylist for five years before she became romantically linked with the R&B singer. Is she a gold digger? In a recent Essence article Foster weighed in on some of these questions herself.

On her relationship with Usher:
"I am 36 with three children so I don't have the body of a 21-year-old. I have flaws, I have an attitude problem, I never make flights and the list goes on. Overall, I have issues that a person could either love or hate, but he accepted me completely. And every day he still treats me like we just met. He opens my car door, calls me to ask if I need anything. He gives a 100 percent and doesn't waver on consistency."

Was she cheating on her husband when she started dating Usher?
"I was legally separated from my husband, to whom I was married to for five years, not 10 as many have reported. He knew Usher and I were dating, and he was dating other people."

Does she get along with Usher's mom?
"His mother and I have a great rapport. There are no hard feelings and I had nothing to do with his decision to no longer have his mother manage him."

No official word yet from either camp on why Saturday's wedding ceremony was cancelled, but the New York Daily News reported this morning that Usher refused to go through with the wedding without his mother present. No word on whether Foster's criminal record played a part in the cancellation. Usher and Foster expect their first child this fall.

More "Leave It to Beaver" follow-up: The actor who played Eddie Haskell became an L.A. police officer (talk about casting agaist type!), and just retired a few years ago. -- Submitted to last week's Celebritology Live chat

Another tidbit for the "where are they now" file. Actor Ken Osmond indeed spent 18 years on the LAPD working in vice and as a motorcycle cop. He retired after getting hit with three bullets while chasing a car thief. According to Wikipedia, the one-time wise-cracking actor now handles real estate rentals in the L.A. area. Oh, and as reported at TV Land: "Contrary to rampant rumors, Osmond was never a porno actor or an outcast from the singing Osmond Brothers family."

I'm also sick here about SATC movie. Why ruin a great TV show with some lame 90-minute movie? Didn't they make enough money off the series and re-runs? -- Lisa1 comments on Morning Mix: Britney Set to Tell All?

Are you serious?

For anyone who may not have picked up on it, my bit about the wedding cancellation caused by the absent usher was tongue-in-cheek humor. I'm glad you liked it, Liz!

So, Helena are you a real live drag queen or have you just co-opted the name?

Posted by: | July 30, 2007 1:20 PM

Helena, you can put your tongue in my cheek anyday- that was brilliant!

Thanks for answering my anon comment regarding Usher, Liz.

I was so elated that Usher is not just cute and talented but also smart enough to know that he deserves the best when it comes to whom to get "locked down" with as a life partner. Marriage, contrary to the joke some Celebs have made of it, is a lifetime commitment and must be taken seriously.
Boy, am I also thankful to the Lord that he is NOT gay, as a stupid rumor had it at one point!

Anyways, I am one of his fans musically, and I have someone to refer to him- she is my beautiful 20-22yr- old graduate daughter, who is also a fan of his. She even went to see him in concert one time. Her email address is Y_oshodi03@yahoo.com
It's okay to say I referred him. I have no doubt Usher would like her physically, as she is also a busty black gal. Her inside and character? superb! I wish both of them the best of luck.
