Breaking News: Lindsay Lohan Gets One Day in Jail
Lindsay Lohan accepted a plea deal that requires the starlet to serve one day in jail, serve 10 days of community service and complete a drug treatment program.
With 21 days spent at the Century Regional Detention facility, Paris Hilton retains the most slammer cred. Nicole Richie has yet to report for her four-day sentence at the same facility.

I thought the rest of us got a lot more time for even a trickle of cocaine. Did that change?
Or did she just catch a LAAAARGE break?

Does her current stint in rehab count towards the rehab requirement or does she have to go to a real rehab this time not a pretty place calling itself one?

I miss the celebrities of the good old days. Remember when Johnny Cash shot a man in Reno just to watch him die?

Our 'justice' system is an embarassment.

Sitting back in the safety and comfort of my loungeroom in Australia I watch the harsh over reactions of your American Police officers on the show cops. With how they not only mistreat criminals but also the average person that they forget does have rights. Yet hang on a celebrity we must treat with kid gloves. What a joke your legal system truelly is. Just think next time someones loved one is injured or killed by a moron celebrity that thinks the law doesnt apply to them. Or the fact they know the law is also soft on them. Will such short jail terms make them learn anything??? Your system believes that normal people can only learn by being given real time in jail for traffic offences. Have a go at how the police and legal system in Australia works. We don't retain the midget brained thoughts over here that no matter what we get our man. Theres always another day. Get tough on celebritys.

Just another case of a starlett getting preferential treatment.

I've had this feeling/expectation that the more these things happen w/ idiot celebs who feel they have no public responsibility, that the more the courts would start to bring the hammer down to get the point across.
I guess it's not happening yet (actually I'd hoped Paris would have been the start, considering how harsh a DUI should be considered), but I can always keep hoping that soon judges will finally decide to come down like a friggin hurricane once and for all.

A notice to all law inforcement if you see a celebirty breaking the law ignore it. The laws do not apply to them. The safty of others does not apply here.

What a fricking joke our judicial system is. How is it that somebody like Lindsay is in possession of cocaine and it's not a felony. But if some poor slob is in possession it is. And only one day in jail! what the hell is that going to teach her. Now I know why LA is called la la land.

Paris, Nicole, Britney and Lindsay should be put in a locked car and sent down a clift. THAT would make my day! I am so sick and tired of them. Someone please make them dissapear!

So Lindsey's knocking it out in a bathroom with a new friend, how sweet, an gettin hooked up with the stuff in that awful place called rehab. Life indeed is good, lets see if the judge steps up this time and shows he has some bouncers.
