Okay, is Brit-brit still in Mexico? Is it safe for me to venture outside??

Posted by: harerin | January 11, 2008 8:44 AM

Janice Dickinson cracks me up, but you can't take anything she says at face value. I'm still not sure where she'd fall on my "Would I?" list.

Posted by: 23112 | January 11, 2008 9:03 AM

i'm confussed by rosie's quote. can anyone be arrested for shopping at the gap or just celebrities? and how much jail time does one serve for shopping at the gap? can you do community service instead and get a nicole richie jail sentence or do you have to do paris hilton time?

Posted by: melissamac1 | January 11, 2008 9:07 AM

One hopes Stedman was wearing a cup when Oprah gave him *that* kick in the 'nads.

Posted by: byoolin | January 11, 2008 9:19 AM

"O'Donnell says that Hasselbeck... "looks like she adopted, like she didn't give birth. She looks perfectly fit and gorgeous already."

Er, Rosie: you adopted, too, and, um...

I just read the US Magazine story about Brit-Brit's travels to Mexico. I am not the most fervent Catholic, but I think buying a rosary while on holiday with your married boyfriend might be a tad bit in poor taste (I won't even mention the fake Gucci bag). I think she just made baby Jesus cry.

jennifer love hewitt, 'love' to her friends, needs to get herself to an underpinnings store, stat!

Posted by: methinks | January 11, 2008 9:29 AM

-Why can't Ryan O'Neal find a better way to coomunicate with his sons other than punching them out? I'm sure it tough when your kids are lying stealing and using drugs to communicate with them but I don't kicking their a@#% is the way to go.

-I'm surprised someone married Tracy Morgan in the first place.

-I wonder if Oprah left Gayle anything in her will. Both Stedman and Gayle are only with Oprah for the money.

Speaking of Golden Globes, Jennifer Love Hewitt's are a tripping hazard.

Posted by: yellojkt | January 11, 2008 9:44 AM

Love, I'll hold 'em up for you.

Posted by: 23112 | January 11, 2008 9:47 AM

D'oh. Jennifer Love Hewitt does need a smidge of a hoist there, doesn't she? Gravity is a harsh, harsh mistress.

Posted by: CentrevilleMom | January 11, 2008 10:01 AM

Wow, JLH. I spend a lot of $$ on industrial-strength underwear to keep that from happening. Can I stop? Is this the new look?

Posted by: Becky | January 11, 2008 10:07 AM

Dude did you hear that the ice skater Christopher Bowman died of a drug overdose? He was a child actor before an ice skater so does this put him into celebrity status?

Posted by: PGM | January 11, 2008 10:22 AM

And I need to stop typing "dude" as the first word of all my comments. Sheesh!

Posted by: PGM | January 11, 2008 10:25 AM

JLH looks like she's moving from silly starlet to womanly and beautiful. To me, the bra-less look doesn't detract from her overall beauty. (And I mean that in the most un-granola way possible!)

Posted by: rachelt | January 11, 2008 10:33 AM

Re. JLH -- that look doesn't bode well for her marketing of Hanes...

Sad about Bowman, drugs will do that to you though.

On a similar note, local resident (B'more's local to me) and Olympic champion Dorothy Hamill is undergoing breast cancer treatment.

Liz! How could you neglect to list the most exciting news of the day! Christian Bale and Johnny Depp are in final talks to star in a movie together! I'm swooning here....

Posted by: no name | January 11, 2008 10:43 AM

Eh, in defense of JLH, I think the shadow is sort of emphasizing the underside of the girls, making them look lower. A high neckline/high waist like that will do the same thing, and they're flattened by the tigh bodice. Overall, they appear to be positioned about halfway between elbow and shoulder, which is where they're supposed to be.

We're just too used to people pushing their cleavage up to their shoulders.

Posted by: logan | January 11, 2008 10:48 AM

Re Logan's "Overall, they appear to be positioned about halfway between elbow and shoulder, which is where they're supposed to be."

I learn so much here.

Posted by: Margo | January 11, 2008 10:52 AM

Christian Bale and Johnny Deep in the same movie? Is Johnny going to play the Riddler in the next Batman movie?

Posted by: EricS | January 11, 2008 10:55 AM

I went on MSN to read the story about Bowman & they had some pictures from his competitive days & one picture from court. The man in the courthouse photo looks like he ate Christopher Bowman.

Posted by: jes | January 11, 2008 10:59 AM

That dress on JLH is just NOT flattering, in any area. I don't understand why a celebrity's friends/agents/family/stylists don't communicate such things to them before they leave the house. And, when looking at this picture, I don't believe her globes are sitting where they are supposed to be, shadow or no shadow. They are lower elbow, at best. Or, perhaps celebrities do these sorts of things to entertain us when their acting can't?

This is a timely reminder that backcountry skiers should always ensure they carry avalanche beacons.

Posted by: SonofCarl | January 11, 2008 11:04 AM

"juiced?"

Posted by: not bluto | January 11, 2008 11:05 AM

here's the deal, 'love' needs to wear a better bra for that dress. she looks like she's wearing a too tight bodice on a too loose bra. she's a very lovely woman, with a womanly shape. she's proud of her curves and she should be, but she needs to ..ahem.. position them properly. yes, there's a shadow, but not that pronounced. it looks like they're about three inches from her waist. simply put: not flattering.

Posted by: methinks | January 11, 2008 11:05 AM

No Janice, Sly goosed you.

Posted by: jes | January 11, 2008 11:10 AM

Anyone else notice that whoever wrote the Ryan O'Neal piece spells it O'Neil twice in the story. He or she only gets the correct spelling once.

Posted by: jlr | January 11, 2008 11:22 AM

CM...
never expect to see a Tick reference in here... shouldnt be surprised though should i...

well played

Posted by: Quintilus Varus | January 11, 2008 11:23 AM

Everyone assumes that Stedman is Oprah's lapdog but he's actually a very intelligent man with his own career and money. (Not nearly as much as O's, true.)

IF (and that's a big if) the rumors about O's will are true, do you really think it would be a surprise or insulting to Stedman that he's not in it? I'm sure that he and O have already had that little talk, and all is well.

yellojkt:

IMO, the nominations can close for comment of the week.

Anybody click on the link to the story about Helena Bonham Carter at the Sweeney Todd premiere in London? That is one fugly getup she's wearing.

Johnny Depp, on the other hand is....*sigh* -- there are no words.

Re JLH: This is what Gene Weingarten meant when he said in a chat "Large breasts are scary, long-term."

(Oh, yes, he did!)

Posted by: 20895 | January 11, 2008 12:09 PM

12th stint in rehab. Alrighty then.

Could Katharine McPhee be more beautiful? Wow.

Could Janice Dickinson be more gross?

Posted by: Californian | January 11, 2008 12:33 PM

"Large breasts are scary, long-term."

Yeah, so for those of us who are natural, the bras get more and more supportive as the years go by!! That's why they make supportive undergarments!

Posted by: Anonymous | January 11, 2008 12:35 PM

I just think JLH's dress and the angle isn't very flattering. Look how high the waistband is on that dress -- that's part of why her chest looks saggy.

What I don't get is, why the hair extensions? Her bob is adorable and very becoming.

General Public Service Announcement to any other Celebritology Losties:

Stay away from the Matthew Fox interview in EW magazine!! I got all excited to see him on the cover, so I checked out the interview and found out a few things I didn't want to know, especially about the "flash forward" episode... Nothing earth shattering, just things I wish I could have found out through the show's development instead of an interview :(

Posted by: SeaTac | January 11, 2008 1:43 PM

Have the makers of Prosecco wine been living in a cave for the last 5 years?!?! How could they not know what kind of person Paris is?

And come on Prosecco, you make champagne IN A CAN, really, she's perfect for that ad. Trashy yet an easy drunk!!

And I don't think that Lost article told us big things we didn't already know. We knew there were flash forwards already.

Posted by: Bored @ home | January 11, 2008 2:01 PM

Yeah, but it talks about his dad and what happens to the passengers when they get back to the real world...

Posted by: SeaTac | January 11, 2008 2:33 PM

@ bored:
Let's not confuse Prosecco (the variety of Italian sparkling wine from the Processo region - it's not a brand) with "Rich Prosecco," the Austrian company working with Paris to put it in a can.

Just to clarify - it's the Italian Prosecco industry that is mad AT "Rich Prosecco" about using Paris and puttting their bubbly in a can. The Prosecco producers/makers themselves are not the ones in who chose her.

Posted by: re: prosecco makers... | January 11, 2008 3:06 PM

Oopsie. "Prosecco" region, not "Processo." :P

Posted by: 3:06 | January 11, 2008 3:08 PM

re: processo

too much prosecco makes slips like that possible! :)

All you snarky poster who are making fun of Jennifer Love Hewitt's unsupported endowment don't realize that her photo is a Marketing Photo. Jennifer Love Hewitt is the new celebrity spokesbimbo for the new Indian colossus of automobiles, TATA MOTORS.

Rumor has it that she'll shortly announce a new Tata vehicle, named the Bodacious.
