"There's a lot of political undertones against the Bush administration. And that's part of the reason why I did the movie. I kind of fancy myself a political girl." -- Jenna Jameson on her new movie "Zombie Strippers." Awesome.

Dear Jenna Jameson,
When you say you fancy yourself "a political girl," you do realize that when call a politician an "incredible c*********," it means a different (and much less flattering) thing than when we describe you that way, right?
Posted by: byoolin | April 18, 2008 8:40 AM
The headline on that Fiddy Cent story asks, "Why Does 50 Cent Look So Skinny?"
A: HE'S STANDING BESIDE VAL KILMER!
Posted by: byoolin | April 18, 2008 8:45 AM
If that's a photo of a pregnant Ashlee Simpson, then she's only been pregnant since shortly before she put that dress on.
Posted by: byoolin | April 18, 2008 8:54 AM
Yes, I think most guys watch Jenna Jameson's movies for the political undertones. Of course this now makes me want to see Zombie Strippers even more (for the politics of course).

RIP Danny Federici
Please remember to wear sunscreen - an ounce of prevention, OK?
Posted by: sunnydaze | April 18, 2008 8:58 AM
Since it was Danny Federici who died, don't you think it would have been appropriate for the E! site to have run his picture instead of Bruce, Patti, and Stevie? I mean, for crying out loud, the guy died. Show his picture. Even my poor excuse for a local newspaper had his picture on its website.

Those pictures of Suri make me want a baby just like her. Can I buy one at Baby Pottery Barn?
Posted by: Omaha | April 18, 2008 9:18 AM
2 comments: 1) Very sad about Federici. The E Street Band will not be the same
2)Why does Suri still have a bottle in her hand in her 18 month and 21 month pictures? what happened to weaning off the bottle at 1 year? Or, like most kids, still take a bedtime bottle until 18 months or so- but walking around all day with a bottle at almost 2 years old? Ridiculous!
Posted by: LBH219 | April 18, 2008 9:27 AM
I thought the same thing about the bottle - but Suri also goes to bed at 11 and never gets told 'No'.

Response to Doobrah:
Please don't criticize the way Ashlee Simpson being hungry. Gene Weingarten would disagree with you!

RIP Danny.
It's been a bit of a tough week and that quote by Jenna and byoolin's comments have made it much better.
I hope Heidi and Spencer don't get their own show it's hard enough for me to avoid the Hills. I may never be able to watch MTV again. By the way how come Heidi and Spencer don't have one of those combo names?
Posted by: petal | April 18, 2008 9:43 AM
So I'm looking at the Suri Cruise pictures, and you know what I'm thinking?
She looks like William Mapother. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0544611/mediaindex
William Mapother?, you ask? He's better known as Lost's Ethan Rom...and the cousin of Tom Cruise Mapother...
Posted by: Chasmosaur | April 18, 2008 9:46 AM
Huh. When I saw that picture, I thought it was Uma Thurman sporting a red hairdo. This obviously shows I can't pick Ashlee Simpson out of a lineup, which will be bad if I ever get mugged by her. :\

Oh, Danny Federici. He kicked a** for so many years with The Boss! Those of us who have been Bruce fans *forever* are really feeling it this morning.

Wow, at first glance Penny Drake looks to be almost 7 feet tall standing next to Jenna (5'7"). She's wearing, unseen, 8" heels. Ouch.
Posted by: omni | April 18, 2008 9:51 AM
Penny is actually only 5'11"

I think the picture of Suri in Burberry looks a lot like Damien from the Omen.
Posted by: jes | April 18, 2008 10:06 AM
"zombie strippers" is set to be a cult hit. I saw a prescreen of it. it's absolutely amazing.
Posted by: konflikt | April 18, 2008 10:15 AM
Omg. Suri Cruise. Could she be any cuter? Or would that break the laws of cuteness?
Posted by: h3 | April 18, 2008 10:26 AM
Look at the dates on the Suri photos. The one in which Suri is holding a bottle are from LAST SUMMER, e.g., she was not 18 months of age or older
Posted by: read, people | April 18, 2008 10:29 AM
Ignorance of the laws of cuteness is no excuse.
Posted by: byoolin | April 18, 2008 10:34 AM
Not true, 'read, people'. She's holding/carrying a bottle in a photo from January 2008.
Anyway, my granddaughter isn't yet two and hasn't drunk from a bottle in close to a year. Clearly, she's a sippy cup savant.
Posted by: methinks | April 18, 2008 10:35 AM
Heidi and Spencer do have a nickname; they use it on the Hills all the time. It's Speidi. I take offense because Spiderman is too cool to even be tangentially connected to those yahoos. But oh well.
Posted by: LitMajor | April 18, 2008 10:45 AM
methinks I counted 4 pictures od Suri with bottle:
July 31, 2007
October 19, 2007
November 7, 2007
January 16, 2008
Posted by: omni | April 18, 2008 11:12 AM
jes, exactly. I have thought she looks like Damien since she was born.
Posted by: | April 18, 2008 11:17 AM
I realize this doesn't have much to do with celebrity culture, but as the mother of a 20-month-old son who absolutely refuses to give up his bottle (screaming fits when we give him a sippy cup, throwing it on the floor, etc.), we figured it's not worth fighting over. He'll give it up eventually. They all do.

omaha,
not pottery barn, but possibly at the OT VIII outlet mall next to the Scientology Celebrity Center in LA.
Posted by: b | April 18, 2008 11:32 AM
The sad thing is the Incredible Shrinking Katie.
Posted by: possum | April 18, 2008 11:37 AM
You're right, KLeewrite, parents definitely have to pick their battles.
Posted by: methinks | April 18, 2008 11:37 AM
Quick picking on that baby Suri! She probably has a sippy tucked in her backpack somewhere. She's still working on those teeth! (Hopefully, someone is teaching her "no" and "no thank you."
AND, my kids are WAAAY cuter. I've just found ways to keep us out of the demanding celebrity spotlight, and away from the paparazzi. Otherwise, we would have been on Vanity Fair instead!
Posted by: | April 18, 2008 11:38 AM
Fiddy-cent should look out: Val Kilmer may eat him too!
Posted by: | April 18, 2008 11:49 AM
So, Byoolin, what's her sentence? Awkward teen years?
She is flipping adorable.
Posted by: Sigh | April 18, 2008 12:24 PM
Re: The caption on the Suri photo from July 12, 2007:
JULY 12, 2007
Suri totted her blanket in the Tiergarten Park in Berlin, Germany. "She's very aware," Holmes has said.
Very aware of what? How disturbing her parents' relationship is?
Posted by: | April 18, 2008 12:26 PM
I'm still wondering how on earth the 2nd-dirtiest celeb (after Amy Wine-o, of course) could be the "face and body" of anything? Is Bally's promoting a Cheetos-drugs-and-alcohol diet as a fitness regime?
Posted by: Californian | April 18, 2008 12:57 PM
"Speidi" pronounced like "spidey sense"
Posted by: perhaps too obvious | April 18, 2008 1:14 PM
just realized I read the comments above too fast. Sorry for the repeat. I don't watch the Hills.
Posted by: boo | April 18, 2008 1:22 PM
Clearly they made up Speidi themselves and like it. That is not the way the blended name thing is supposed to work, so I vote we rename them - how about Spendi? Spenci? Heincer? Yeah, I like Heincer...
Posted by: sunnydaze | April 18, 2008 1:45 PM
"Heincer" works. It's catchy and has the benefit of being shorter than the only one I could come up with ("You Two Need To Go Headfirst Into The [Effin'] Wood Chipper").
Posted by: byoolin | April 18, 2008 2:42 PM
And it kind of sounds like *heinie* - the body part, not the beer!
Posted by: sunnydaze | April 18, 2008 3:37 PM
Heincer! That's genius!
Posted by: methinks | April 18, 2008 4:06 PM
Clearly Suri and Katie go to the same hair stylist.
Posted by: Angela | April 18, 2008 4:14 PM
I'm coming out with a line of Spencer & Heidi pinatas. You can whack the cr*p out of them for amusement and there is nothing at all inside.
Posted by: DFC | April 18, 2008 5:12 PM
...and best of all, the piñatas are made of the actual Spencer and the actual Heidi.
Posted by: byoolin | April 18, 2008 6:21 PM
YAYYY Mariah!

I'm sorry there's an error in today's celebritology.
Look at the photo. There's NO way Ashlee Simpson dined on anything. Or has dined on anything in recent history.
