Edwards Takes to Iowa Airwaves
Former senator John Edwards's campaign began running TV ads in Iowa today (see the video below). The ads will air in all of Iowa's TV markets, and the Omaha, Neb. market, which includes Council Bluffs, Iowa.
As reported in Chris Cillizza's The Fix, the ads are a near carbon copy to those that Edwards ran last week in the Washington, D.C. area, seeking to draw contrasts rivals over the war in Iraq.
The ad buy is on both broadcast and cable but, according to buy information, is at extremely low levels. It will air in all Iowa TV markets, and the Omaha, Neb. market, which covers nearby Council Bluffs, Iowa.
In a conference call Tuesday afternoon with reporters, Edwards encouraged supporters to submit online videos through his Web site to be added to a future online-only remix of the ad. He did a similar thing last week.
