Ad Watch: Dodd, Obama, And Romney

Obama's New Radio Ad Full Of... Manure

Barack Obama starts airing a distinctly Iowa radio ad today in... Iowa. It stars Norma "Duffy" Lyon, the creator of the famed Iowa butter cow, which is displayed each year at the Iowa State Fair.

"You know, you see a lot of manure in our line of work," Lyon says in the ad. "It's a lot like politics. You got to know what's bull and what's for real." Ah, the sarcasm. Lyon spends time during the 60-second ad touting Obama's rural agenda. The ad is called "For Us."

Dodd's Latest 'Cut'

Chris Dodd has a new 60-second ad now airing in Iowa. It is part of the senator's increased focus on Iowa, which includes moving his family full-time to Des Moines, as The Fix reported last week. "Barbershop" discusses Dodd's Senate experience, while teasing (get it?) the senator about his white hair.

"No, I didn't get the white hair from the Peace Corps or the military," he says. "Twenty-six years on the Foreign Relations Committee, oh yeah, that'll do it."

"If he got nominated, we'd have a Democrat who could win," a barber says.

The ad ends with an announcer stating, "Chris Dodd. Results for a Change." Dodd's slogan adds a whole new layer of semantics to the debate about "change and experience" that Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and Bill Richardson have all highlighted in their TV ads.

Make sure to watch our latest DinerCam episode, featuring Dodd's visit last Saturday to the Red Arrow Diner in Manchester, N.H. DinerCam is part of our "At the Diners" series.

Romney Means 'Business'

Mitt Romney talks up his real-world business experience in his latest ad, "Business World." It starts airing tomorrow in South Carolina. It is shot in the same style as Romney's recent ads about his conservative credentials, and reforming the Republican Party.

"As president, I'll audit Washington -- top to bottom -- and cut spending, because our next president has to be an agent of change," Romney says.

GO OBAMA ...........

Posted by: H Endicott | October 24, 2007 03:10 PM

The main stream media has it all wrong! Barack Obama is winning the race for the Presidency.

The FACTS:

1. He has raised more money so far than any other Presidential candidate in history.

2. He is bringing in huge crowds. Just yesterday 9,500 people were rooting him on in Boston! His crowds are larger than all the other candidates.

3. He has the largest and most organized grassroots campaign.

4. He has the broadest range of supporters among all the candidates. He is loved by Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and people of all races and ages!

5. His supporters are extremely loyal and dedicated to making sure he is elected.

Also, the media and those so called polls have it all wrong about Blacks. Most Blacks ARE supporting Barack Obama.

Check out this Black web site: BlackVoices.Aol.com, go to:
http://www.blackvoices.aol.com and click on the link that says Obama Watch, look for the political poll to your right. Check out the results. 75% want Barack Obama to be President.

I am a Black female and I support Barack Obama -- never Hillary Clinton -- that would be a travesty if I did.

Please consider voting for Brack Obama -- check out his web site at:

There's absolutely no way we in Iowa are going to nominate either Clinton or Obama. I used to like the butter cow, now it seems like it's a cash cow sold to the highest bidder.
