'Caroline' Ad Links JFK Legacy to Obama
Caroline Kennedy endorsed Barack Obama. Now she's helping him campaign on the trail and in ads.
Kennedy praises her father's legacy of unifying America and achieving great things -- i.e. mission to the moon. While she narrates, archival video footage of her father as president is played. As the photos of JFK fade and reappear with photos of Obama, Kennedy says Obama is also a candidate who gives America hope: "He makes us believe in ourselves again. That when we act as one nation, we can overcome any challenge. People always tell me how my father inspired them. I feel that same excitement now."
The 30 second ad is airing in Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Obama scored a major endorsement this week when Caroline and her uncle, Senator Ted Kennedy endorsed him. So even if some think that endorsements don't mean much, the Obama camp is taking advantage of these major endorsements by keeping their names linked with his campaign.

except for his lofty rhetoric, obama is no JFK! while caroline's endorsement points to the hopeful message that obama spouts everytime he's on the stump, his record comes no where close to that of JFK's....so in that regard, obama is all fluff and no meat. plus, the media fails to highlight that other kennedys support hillary. too bad the media isn't more balanced.
