Hillary's Two Minute Ad
DES MOINES -- Iowans are guaranteed to see Hillary Clinton on the 6 o'clock news tonight -- or before. Her campaign has purchased 2 minutes of ad time on every dinner-hour newscast to air her final, direct-to-camera appeal.
No other candidate of either party has secured as much airtime. But if recent ad trends hold, news viewers will see plenty of other candidates' advertising tonight. The final commercial break on Monday's 5 p.m. Newscast on Des Moines' KCCI-TV, for example featured, in order, ads from Barack Obama, Mike Huckabee, Clinton, an AFSCME ad for Clinton, and Fred Thompson.

@ Communications Teacher
Why are you telling such a stupid nonsense? There is not even a second in that video, she does not look in the eyes of the spectator.
You should not teach, Communications Teacher, you should proof your eyes.
She is the best in the race. Go to vote for her!

The first time I watched I was impressed by her speaking ability. She speaks very clearly and has a voice that is nice to listen to compared to the hair raising volume of another Democratic candidate. I think she presents a good female image. If I were to pick a female president she would be my choice. But she is not. But I don't think it is because of her lack of perfect eye contact. The second time I watched the clip I studied her and a few times her eyes moved up but that was only human. Would you want her to stare like an android into the camera lens? Now that would not be a good selling pitch. My vote is not for her, but I wouldn't advise criticizing attempts of advertising when the only problem you can find is that she may have been reading off a card. What is worse? Reading off a card so there will be less miscommunication or memorizing and reciting like a recording? The ad in itself is a pointless propaganda technique that will most likely be ignored.
Find something a little less trivial to find fault with, say for example, their platform, which is what we should be paying attention to anyway.

My disdain for Hellary has nothing to do with her supposedly being a woman! I love women and would vote for one for president readily. But, let's not vote for Klinton just because of gender: think back to that administration, all of the spies, lies, corruption, deaths, smears, immorality, backstabbing, laws broken, drugs, bribes, Chinese spies, payoffs, character assinations, assasinations, investigations, using dead people, theft, obfescations, stealing china, destruction of public property, threats to bimbos, assaults, rape accusations, sex not sex, asprin factory murders, tyrant coddling, Whtewatering, Rose law firming, missing files, DNA disapearance, Foster bodies, Lies in diaries, lawyers commiting suicide, hidden agendas, payoffs, Luewinskiing, coverups, mismanagements, bodies in the parks, bodies in the cell, bodies in the water, nuclear secrets being sold, FBI files stolen, blackmailings, ..... all with Hellary right smack dab in the middle either orchestrating or covering up!
Use your memories people!
Other than that I have nothing against her.

You are absolutely correct. Hillary was an assistant in one of the worst presidencies in our nation's history. I think that the media is so committed to finding a good image for her just because she is a running woman for President, that they are willing to overlook some of the biggest mistakes that she helped to make. The media also seems readily willing to find dirt for other candidates that bring them down to her level of play. This is not how campaigns should be run!! The campaigns should aim to differentiate themselves until the time of the general election, where they can then truly present themselves as willing to lead the American people. At this stage, anything that the candidates say is for their own ego and self-image.

Dear Steven
They spent $45 million on the Whitewater investigation and all they could get was Susan MacDougal refusing to lie about Hillary and Bill.
I suppose you believe that Hillary and Bill hid the weapons of mass destruction also so that poor George would not find them and end up looking like a stupid little puppy dog believing everything Dick Chaney told him.

I think we found out why she did so poorly in the Iowa Caucuses. She's reading off of cue-cards. I want a president who can spell out their positions without having someone write them down and hold them next to the camera.

Her pros have blown it. When that ad comes out, Iowans will see that Clinton's eyes are off to the left and above the camera. In other words, she isn't looking them in the eye. For the most critical ad of the campaign, Clinton's pros should have had her memorize the pitch. I know it's busy season, but as any lawyer will tell you, the closing argument must be made with eye contact. John Edwards and Barack Obama won't make the same mistake.
