MoveOn Attacks McCain in New Web Ad
Less than 24 hours since Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker completed their congressional testimony, MoveOn.org is attacking John McCain in a new Web ad, once again tying him to President Bush's Iraq war strategy.
"Iraq: Six Months at a Time" uses previous statements by Donald Rumsfeld, President Bush, McCain, and Petraeus that all suggested at different times in the past five years that the war was reaching a "critical moment" or that more time was needed for military operations to succeed. It ends with the tag line: "Endless war... on the installment plan."
The Democratic Party, the DSCC, and MoveOn have all produced anti-McCain videos in the past.
This round of Petraeus-Crocker testimony did not provoke as many pro- or anti- Petraeus/war efforts as last September. The conservative group Freedom's Watch produced one online video, while a coaltion of anti-war retired military officers and congressional candidates have also produced online content.

I'm a life-long Republican and I'm against the Iraq war. Let's be clear, many Republicans are against this war. In case you missed it, this is a very sobering testimony of General Petraeus with presidential candidate Dr. Paul. Listen to what the general says (or doesn't say) about Iran:

Moveon would probably be a decent group if they didn't spike their koolaid with so much LSD.

You'd probably be a decent human being if you had something intelligent to say and some evidence to back it up with.

Thanks for being more careful this time, MoveOn.
