'Top Model': There Are No Great Models, Only Great Walls
There is just one episode left, so perhaps now is a good time for a refresher on the four remaining "America's Next Top Model" wannabes: There's Bianca (the saucy post-adolescent from Queens who arrived with a flash of Bozo-red hair and quickly took to putting down other people. Those in glass houses, Bianca...).
Texas is missing a yellow rose named Chantal, a bubbly and upbeat blonde who reminds us of another smiling vision from the Lone Star State: Farrah Fawcett. Then there's Saleisha, a kewpie doll with the icy heart of a warrior (and who can blame her? Losing here means she might have to go back to being a receptionist in Los Angeles. Ick.) And finally, there's Jenah, a stunning but high-on-herself 18-year-old from Connecticut.
This is the motley little crew that headed to Beijing this week after bidding America's Next Top Role Model Heather goodbye in a surprising elimination last episode. Bianca, of course, could not hide her relief, much as she tried to seem nonchalant. "It doesn't really make much of a difference that she's not here," Bianca explained, fooling no one.
It certainly makes no difference to any of you, who cast your votes for Heather AGAIN for Cover Girl Pick of the Week, even though she's long gone and there are four perfectly mediocre girls awaiting your support (more on Heather later, though).
So: The ladies are getting a photo shoot on the Great Wall. Which sounds really unique and intriguing, except that this guy named Karl Lagerfeld of Fendi announced way back in February that he would stage a fashion show on the Great Wall. We're just saying. (The Fendi show, btw, was in October and looked spectacular.)
Ultimately, this week's episode will be remembered as The One In Which Bianca Went Down. The whole season, Bianca mistook her own constant negativity and transparent insecurity for competitiveness, but trashing others didn't help her come off as the new Eva. We think it did, however, have something to do with her landing in the bottom two with Jenah this week. Her offenses: She's "extremely awkward," according to Tyra. Bianca is "the least natural girl in the group," Twiggy noted. And Tyra chimed in again: Bianca was operating with "training wheels" on. Jenah, on the other hand, was deemed to have just a touch of homesickness.
And so, Bianca was sent packing. And all was right in the world.
But don't you worry, B. Just look at Heather! Girlfriend got herself written up in That Other Newspaper this week (http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/04/health/04well.html) as a face for Asperger's syndrome. Not bad! That's more than some "ANTM" winners can say, much less the losers.
Heather also has been in the media dishing about her time on the show and the ladies (why she's such a yawn, we'll never understand; she called them "really pretty decent people." Check it out: http://www.tvguide.com/news/top-model-heather/071205-03).
Next week: The end. And if all you guys are correct in your comments, the smart money is on Saleisha to take the prize.

We were so so so happy to see the big B go this week. I was so tired of her drivel. Enough already.
