Local news: Underwater Peoples Winter Review

Local label Underwater Peoples offers up its latest compilation.

A couple weeks ago we talked with local indie label Underwater Peoples about the appeal of vinyl and why it's the label's preferred format. So today we're here to tell you about its new compilation which is available .... as a digital download? Hey, sometimes convenience wins out.

"The Underwater Peoples Winter Review" is the sequel to the label's "Summertime Showcase" compilation released earlier this year. It helps to further define the UP sound with 15 reverb-heavy bedroom pop jams from bands such as Real Estate, Frat Dad and Ducktails. Other highlights include the jangly shuffle of Air Waves and the bleak folk of Mountain Man. The compilation is available as a free download for a limited time from the Chocolate Bobka blog.
