Talkies: Wye Oak

Baltimore duo Wye Oak has been a favorite around these parts for a while. We first talked to Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack last April upon the release of their Merge Records debut, "If Children." This year's "The Knot" was even better -- "an album of gorgeous dirges, creating a shimmering, folk-shoe-gaze hybrid that is hypnotic in its stateliness." When they played at the Black Cat this past August we chatted with them and got some footage of their impressive live show, which you can check out for yourself Sunday at the Black Cat. Many, many thanks to Milica Wren, who shot all the footage and edited the piece together.

Cool way to display an interview. Nicely shot and excellent quality. If this one of the new ways of doing things, I like it.
