- Pete Townshend of the Who has announced what he and bandmate Roger Daltrey are cooking up for their Super Bowl halftime performance on Feb. 7. Townshend tells Billboard that fans can expect a "compact medley" of the band's best-loved tunes, including swatches of "Baba O'Riley," "Pinball Wizard," "Who Are You," and "Won't Get Fooled Again." Start practicing your air-guitar windmills.

- A message to you, Jimmy: Iconic British ska band the Specials have announced that they will kick off their first North American tour in nearly three decades with an April 13 performance on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon."

- Figures from last weekend's Haiti benefit concerts are coming into focus. Friday night's telethon is now said to have raised an estimated $61 million. Meantime, Radiohead raised more than $500,000 at a one-off benefit concert at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, Sunday.
