News: Sen.-elect Scott Brown's daughter Ayla drops a new CD
Ayla Brown -- pop singer, former "American Idol" semifinalist and daughter of newbie Sen.-elect Scott Brown (R - Mass.) -- announced today that she's moved the release of her new EP "Circles" from April to... today. It's currently available on iTunes. Brown's label, Double Deal Brand Records, describes the 21-year-old's music as "r&b/dance-infused."
"Over the past few years it's become apparent that traditional means of releasing music is changing as more people transition to digital music buying," Brown said in a press release. "As an artist, I think releasing an EP instead of a full-length album makes more sense because it allows me to connect more frequently with fans.”
Some might say releasing your latest effort three months early while your dad is still in the headlines is an equally shrewd marketing decision.
