Morning click: Le Tigre dishes on Aguilera collaboration; Johnny Depp makes Keith Richards doc
- Le Tigre has confirmed long-swirling rumors of a collaboration with Christina Aguilera. On their blog, the feminist pop trio led by riot grrrl icon (and former DC resident) Kathleen Hanna says that the band has written and produced a couple songs for the diva's upcoming album "Bionic." Indie-credentialed acts MIA, Santigold, and Ladytron have also been tapped to contribute to the CD, which is scheduled for a March release.
- In a less surprising collaboration, Johnny Depp is directing a documentary about Keith Richards. The actor and veteran rocker became friends on the set of the third "Pirates of the Caribbean" film in which Richards plays Depp's daddy. The doc, currently in the research stages, will be Depp's first directorial effort since 1997's "The Brave" with Marlon Brando.
- This morning, "Seoul Music Awards" was a trending topic on Twitter. After checking it out, my conclusion is that the Seoul Music Awards are pretty cool, but they've got a long way to go until they're cooler than the Swedish P3 Guld Awards.
