Beach House vs. Wye Oak: Baltimore duo battle

Beach HouseBeach House plays a sold-out show at Black Cat tonight. (Benjamin C. Tankersley For The Washington Post)

Tonight D.C. is a battle ground for Baltimore bands. OK, we doubt there's any ill will between fellow dreamy Charm City duos Beach House and Wye Oak. But they are playing shows across town-- Beach House with long sold-out, tour-opening gig at Black Cat and Wye Oak opening for Shearwater at Rock and Roll Hotel -- so there's a bit of a turf war going on down 95.
