I'm happy with my first five today. The best Replacements song; A near-perfect, no-hope refrain "There is no around the corner any more"; the queen of country music; Dr. Dog's most Beatle-sy sounding song; and the real Queen of Soul (sorry, Etta gets my vote over Aretha).
The Replacements, "Here Comes A Regular"
The Evens, "Around the Corner"
Kitty Wells, "Will Your Lawyer Talk To God"
Dr. Dog, "We All Belong"
Etta James, "You Took It"
