I'm hoping to catch Cloud Nothings next week at SXSW. And pray as I might for an Elastica reunion, too, it's not gonna happen. A recent where-are-they-now feature in Spin magazine says that Elastica founder Justine Frischmann is working happily as a painter in San Rafael, California.
- Cloud Nothings, "Hey Cool Kid"
- Elastica, "Car Song"
- Hot Snakes, "If Credit's What Matters, I'll Take Credit"
- James Brown, "Super Bad"
- Scritti Politti, "Wood Beez (Pray Like Aretha Franklin)"

Thanks Hoodrat. But who had/has better facial hair: Shel or King Khan?

well, depends on whether you're going for dignity or for might-snap-at-any-moment-and-turn-a-flamethrower-on-the-crowd. which is not to suggest that shel was actually dignified. i'm quite sure he wasn't but his facial hair exuded manly charm and grace.
