Clicky shuffle

Welcome to our daily micro-column, the Clicky shuffle. Each morning, a Click Track contributor shares the first five songs that pop up on their portable mp3 device.

Wanna play along? Share five random songs of your own in the comments.

By David Malitz

A nice collection of overlooked songs here, even by my own standards. That Jacobites tune (like pretty much everyone by the combo of Nikki Sudden and Dave Kusworth) is a perfect little slice of melancholy jangle-pop. And that selection from the first album by Swedish pop band the Legends is all kinds of fantastically fuzzy.

Yo La Tengo, "Did I Tell You"
The Jacobites, "Every Girl"
Carl Perkins, "Forever Yours"
The Legends, "The Kids Just Wanna Have Fun"
Clem Snide, "Donna"
