- Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Zac Brown are at the top of this year's Academy of Country Music Awards heap, netting 25 nominations between them. Lady Antebellum is up for seven awards, including top vocal group, album of the year (for their rapid-selling sophomore album "Need You Now"), song of the year and video of the year.

- A courthouse fire has postponed Lil' Wayne's prison sentencing. This is the second time sentencing has been delayed for the New Orleans rapper, who is due for a year in prison after pleading guilty to a 2007 weapons charge. Wayne's original sentencing date was postponed so he could undergo extensive dental surgery.

- The video for "Somos el Mundo," the Spanish language rendition of "We Are the World," debuted earlier this week on Univision. Shakira, Pitbull, Juanes and dozens of other Latin pop stars lend their voices to the song, which was the #1 Latin seller on iTunes yesterday. All sales go toward reconstruction efforts in Haiti.
