Singles file: Prince, Shane MacGowan with Nick Cave and Johnny Depp

Prince's new one is way better than that Vikings song. (By Alexandra Wyman -- Getty Images)

A weekly playlist for the listener with a one-track mind.
Prince: "Cause and Effect"
The Purple One goes (semi) old school on this fiery new track, which premiered on Minnesota Public Radio.
Shane MacGowan and Friends: "I Put a Spell on You" (Screamin' Jay Hawkins cover)
So Nick Cave, Johnny Depp and a bunch of people who aren't Johnny Depp got together to record this vaguely terrifying and completely amazing Haitian relief track. Imagine a less annoying, hygiene-challenged version of the "We Are the World" sessions, except instead of Celine Dion, there were chain-smoking hobos.
(Fabio - not that Fabio - after the jump.)
XV: "Warmup Freestyle"
The Wichita rapper expounds on the virtues of Bo Derek and "Shogun" (we think) on this track from his new mix tape, "30 Minute Layover."
Fabio: "Lindo Sonho Delirante"
From the new '60s/'70s compilation "Brazilian Guitar Fuzz Bananas" comes this minor miracle of fat-bottomed bass, psych-style Tropicalia and licentious, vaguely James Brown-like funk. We're not sure who Fabio is/was, exactly, but it's probably not the Fabio you're thinking of.
Holy Ghost!: "On Board" (Friendly Fires cover)
The Brooklyn remixers and the hook-a-minute Brits do a Peter Gabriel- style song swap.
