- Carrie Underwood took away the biggest prize at last night's Academy of Country Music awards, winning "Entertainer of the Year" at the televised ceremony in Las Vegas. Lady Antebellum nabbed five awards and three went to Miranda Lambert. This is the second year in a row that Underwood, an American Idol winner, has taken home the coveted award.
- Coachella 2010 is over, and guess what-- we weren't there, but we read all about it! Seems like everyone is talking about the nerve of MGMT, who made 40,000 people stand through material from their good but undanceable new album before they got to their electro-pop hits; Phoenix's gig, which drew more fans than Pavement and made guys in their 30s question the meaning of music for all eternity; and collaborations between Beyonce/Jay-Z and Thom Yorke/Flea.
