- Jay-Z is suing Red Sox star David Ortiz, claiming that the baseball player used the name of Jay's 40/40 nightclub chain to promote his own venture in the Dominican Republic-- a club named, yep, Forty/Forty.
- Bone Thugs-n-Harmony rapper Flesh-N-Bone, real name Stanley Howse, is denying charges that he assaulted his mother with a gun more than a decade ago in Ohio. The accusations led to Howse's recent arrest during a Cleveland concert. Bone Thugs-n-Harmony had a string of hits in the 1990s and are currently on tour to promote their forthcoming album "Uni-5: The World's Enemy."
- Type O Negative frontman and gothic heartthrob Peter Steele died Monday night of a heart attack. He was 48.
