Week ahead: Ted Leo tweets his way to D.C., Bieber stays up past his bed time

In concert: Award-winning Twitter personality/indie rocker veteran Ted Leo visits the 9:30 club on Thursday. Brazilian legend Caetano Veloso is at Lisner on Saturday; he seems to also be on Twitter, although the account isn't verified. According to Babelfish, his most recent tweet is "then good bye that is another one: somebody that aguente the sun." Works for me. Malian singer-songwriter Rokia Traore rounds out Lisner's excellent international weekend on Sunday. Guitar wiz Bucky Pizzarelli checks in to Blues Alley from Thursday through Saturday. And U.K. indie-pop faves the Wedding Present will get into the "classic album" thing by playing 1989's "Bizarro" in its entirety at the Black Cat on Friday. Even if it is only their, like, fourth best album.

In stores: New albums that will be reviewed tomorrow on this very blog: Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Slash and that Fatboy Slim/David Byrne collaboration. Everybody seems to love the new album by Sigur Ros member Jonsi. A couple of weeks ago we talked to Angelique Kidjo about the influences behind "Oyo," which is available Tuesday. Psych-Americana throwbacks Dr. Dog have a new one. And a couple to recommend: swinging garage rock from Harlem ("Hippies") and wonderfully messy punk-funk-dance jams from Mi Ami ("Steal Your Face" - read more about them in Weekend on Friday).

On TV: Set your DVR for adorable: Justin Bieber is the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live." Just a couple of days after Liquid Liquid appeared on "Jimmy Fallon," PiL will be on "Jimmy Kimmel." That's Wednesday; She & Him will grace his stage tonight. And Citizen Cope will be on "Ellen" Tuesday. Cool?
