Coda: Plenty of Pearl Jam, terrible songs on great albums, talking to Dr. Dre's son

Here's looking at you, Eddie. (Kyle Gustafson/FTWP)
We got our fill of Pearl Jam this week. First a preview, focusing on the band's latter-day output. Then a review of Thursday's show, which featured a comments thread debate about the origin of the band's name. You'll note in the photo that Eddie Vedder is wearing a PiL t-shirt. He no doubt picked that up at the 9:30 club on Wednesday night, where he was taking in the show with Ian MacKaye in the club's balcony. Concert highlights this week included Toro y Moi, Shelby Lynne and John Hiatt. We debated terrible songs on great albums, talked to Curtis Young (Dr. Dre's son) and also talked to U.K. indie rockers Male Bonding. See you next week!

Good lookin' out, Arsenal2 - it did look pretty well-worn in those pictures.

According to Mr. Vedder at the concert, he did not buy the shirt the night before but when he was 19 years old.
