Country duo Brooks & Dunn have nixed their Saturday concert with Gary Allan at Jiffy Lube Live due to an illness. Not sure who is actually sick, but the gig has been postponed until Sunday, August 1. As card carrying Garry Allan superfans, we're bummed. (Silver lining: This frees us up to check out Holy Ghost! at U Street Music Hall and/or Hume at Everlasting Life.)

We saw them last night in Hershey, PA and Ronnie Dunn was having difficulty with his voice. He abruptly left the stage a few times. After only one encore performance he pointed to his throat as to say he was unable to sing anymore.

Get better soon Ronnie!

Not going to this anymore... Sunday concerts are awful.

Was anyone at Live Nation planning on informing anyone of this? No e-mails, no nothing. If I hadn't googled for the set list, I would have had no idea.

Nope, no notification. I guess they don't feel the need - people will figure it out when they get there! ;)

Of course they don't have a problem sending out spam messages several times a week trying to get you to buy more tickets!

Regarding other things to do Saturday night due to the postponement, Cesar Pupy Pedroso y Los Que Son Son, a Cuban timba/salsa band, made their first ever DC area appearance Saturday night at the Salsa Room in Arlington. The NY Times called them Cuba's best dance band, and they were pretty hot Saturday night/Sunday morning.
