Coda: All about Drake
It was the week of Drake. There will be many more of those weeks. (Kyle Gustafson/TWP)
There was one dude who owned coverage that week and it was Drake. He performed at 9:30 club on the eve of his album release. We gave you extra reasons not to be skeptical of the rising star and then there was a riot in New York that caused a free show of his to be canceled. In non-Drake news we talked to a handful of artists hitting town soon: Goldfrapp, Villagers and J Roddy Walston and Business. A track from Dr. Dre's mythical "Detox" album hit the Internet and it features Jay-Z briefly rapping about Gilbert Arenas. Maybe next week there will be a new Kanye song that mentions Stephen Strasburg!
