Jay-Z cites Gilbert Arenas on new Dr. Dre track

gun fingersDon't expect to hear this Dre-Jay collaboration at the Verizon Center next season. (Getty Images)

By Chris Richards

A new song from Dr. Dre's looooong awaited "Detox" album has leaked and it features a Jay-Z couplet about Washington's most troubled sports superstar.

At the 1:18 mark of "Under Pressure," Jay raps, "All these little haters got me back with the nina/Got me bringing guns to work, Gilbert Arenas."

Not as flattering as the "Swish!" from Wale's "Pretty Girls," but regardless of context, being shouted out by the greatest rapper alive on one of the most highly anticipated hip-hop collaborations in recent memory can't be all bad.

Listen to Dr. Dre's "Under Pressure" here.

"can't be all bad."

Being notorious and a laughing stock is bad in the real world. Are you joking?

Jay doesn't have the best taste in sports shoutouts, as we notice in his verse to "Deja Vu," where he said that he "used to run base like Juan Pierre." I would be sad if Agent Zero falls to Pierre-esque depths next season.

LOL, is that a troll advertisement as the first post? damn people are getting really desperate...or clever, or just stupid.

Jay-Z is old enough to no when to speak and when not too. He acts like he's still in his mid 20s or so. Duh!!

I agree with other postes. Why is ths news. The person who wrote the article should be fired. Wiz are on the cusp of becoming a really good team if Flipper and Ernie don't screw this great opportunity up. They have what 5 under contract and money to spend. Go do some real reporting please.

Really, rnbrown4? Do you really, honestly, truly think that Chris Richards should be fired and made unemployed for writing a 4 paragraph blog entry about DC-related popular music in his blog entitled "Washington Post Pop Music Blog"?? You run a tight frickin ship there.
