Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Gladys Knight and David Archuleta to perform on National Mall for July 4th

Never mind that popstars Drake and Kelis both have fab new tunes about fireworks ("Fireworks," and "4th of July (Fireworks)," respectively).

Instead, Washingtonians will be serenaded under the stars on July 4 by the likes of Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Gladys Knight and David Archuleta. The foursome have been booked for the annual “A Capitol Fourth” celebration and their crooning will be broadcast live from the west lawn of the Capitol at 8 p.m. on PBS stations.
