Godfather of go-go Chuck Brown busts loose with Chips Ahoy! commercial
By Chris Richards
Finally! Two things we've always loved in one place: cookies and go-go.
If you've seen the new television ad for Chips Ahoy! chocolate chip cookies (linked above), your ears are not deceiving you. The ad features the iconic song "Bustin' Loose" by Washington's own godfather of go-go, Chuck Brown.
But is that the godfather doing the voice-over at the end of the ad? "No, but it should of been," says Brown's manager, Tom Goldfogle. Curious. Meantime, Click Track hopes to have a full interview with Brown later this week. Stay tuned.

I guess I'm ok with this. He is getting paid pretty good, and it's not like it's a car ad. Somehow cookies make it ok.
