- It should be one of the fall's most exciting and over-the-top tours - zany indie-electro troupe Of Montreal will hit the road with on-the-verge R&B star Janelle Monae. Monae appears on two tracks on Of Montreal's upcoming album, "False Priest," so expect a bit of on-stage collaboration. The tour comes to 9:30 club on Sept. 13 and 14.
- Ringo Starr turned 70 yesterday and his birthday concert at Radio City Music Hall featured a very special guest - Paul McCartney. The former Beatles performed "Birthday" together at the end of the concert, which also featured the likes of Yoko Ono, Steve Van Zandt, Angus Young, Jeff Lynne, Nils Lofgren and Max Weinberg.
- Eminem had no problem holding onto the top spot in the Billboard 200. Second week sales of "Recovery" topped 300,000 and went over 1 million total in just two weeks. The-Dream debuted at No. 3 while 3OH!3 bowed at No. 4.
